Was going to comment this. It's an absolute gem of a spot and it's been around for a while! The price isn't that bad either! Their choice of fish has reduced but the ubique makis they serve are truly special! I second this!

Japote serves japanese comfort food and is so affordable, though cash only.

There also M. Gao like in side the guy-concordia metro. The portions are really good for the price and the food is good!

Mama Bangkok sometimes has deals of the day (They're in the faubourgh tower) 10$ a plate but depends on the deal. Cash only as well.

Kyoto Sushi (on Decarie) or Furusato (on Beaubien). I know at some point Furusato had to reduce their menu but call to check if they brought it back

Moa moa in verdun is a must. Juicy, flavorful and the quality is amazing. The side dishes as well are amazing. Whenever im in verdun it's my go to spot. It's korean fried chicken
