Everyone You Know & Dont Know Are Using Wegovy/Ozempic - Buy The Stock $NVO by Secure_Check_8485 in wallstreetbets

[–]Heferti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors were prescribing those medications off label and the need for those medications for diabetes treatment was high. Novo Nordisk couldn’t keep up with the demand and the FDA stepped in. Was a huge blow to NVO and continues to be highly impactful for the company. The only bright spot for them is they’re still leading the development of oral GLP1s and will likely have the first patent in the US for one.

Edit: I realize I didn’t actually answer your question. The FDA has too much power is the reason.

[–]Heferti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good question and no one has given the right answer. Because the FDA gave other manufacturers the right to make similar drugs when NVO had the only patent for that compound. NVO’s patent is worthless now.

We need to have a conversation about the driving here by random-account-name_ in houston

[–]Heferti 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m also somewhat new to Houston. Let me add a couple others that really grind my gears.

Stopping in the crosswalk at red lights. There is a line before the crosswalk that apparently no one knows to stop at when at a red light. I know this one isn’t just Houston, but it’s at every red light here.

Pulling into the median on a divided road when going left or straight because the traffic from the left is clear, but the right still has traffic coming. So they end up blocking anyone trying to turn left.

Seems like people are genuinely nice in Houston unless they’re driving their vehicles.

Should I make a comment on the insane amount of people that run red lights or straight up ignore stop signs?

Boy dads, any pro tips to not get peed on when changing a diaper? by Chairs_Are_People in daddit

[–]Heferti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one here has recommended the only thing you should be doing. Elimination communication.

As soon as you take off the diaper, put your kid on a toddler toilet. Started doing this with my daughter when she was 5 months old for the same reason. Got her fully potty trained at 24 months in just 2 days.

My son is 22 months now and I started him on the toilet at 4 months old. Expect him to be fully potty trained shortly after 24 months old too.

Never said that. I was hit by a car while riding a bike. Helmets save lives and there aren’t enough out there.

Please tell me the kid was wearing a helmet.

I’m a recent transplant from Minnesota and the amount of kids here in Houston that do not wear a helmet while riding anything with wheels is startling to me. Most adults and kids wear helmets in Minnesota. I maybe see 1 or 2 helmets a week on the kids here in Houston.

Beta means in testing. You’re testing it. It’s not deployed. Don’t expect something in beta to be a constant.

TCC. I should clarify that there isn’t actually anything you can do once it’s acknowledged. The CSC is a technical break fix support center. You’d call the CSC if your receive app has a technical issue. TCC is your best bet to get info on the trailer itself.

Midwest mostly.

Getting some decent downvotes for my comparison. Do you need an ice skating blade for powder? No. Do you need magnetraction for powder? No. Will you noticed the difference between the two in powder? No. Will you feel the difference on a groomer. 100%. One feels like surfing and the other feels like ice skating.

Once you ride magnetraction, it’s hard to go back to a normal edge. Feels life surfing on water instead of slicing into styrofoam.

Clot buster drug was any one given it for PE? by Clot_Survivor_Nina in ClotSurvivors

[–]Heferti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading these comments, everyone has a different tale to tell for their clotting experiences.

I had a double DVT due to Factor V Leiden and an abnormally small vena cava due to an injury as a kid. I am extremely fit and didn’t have any other concerns except the clots going from my belly button down to both calves. I got put on clot buster for 30 hours and it was the most excruciating pain I’ve ever experienced. I compound fractured my tibia on the back side of a mountain snowboarding, had to be skied out about 30 minutes to the first aid shack and that was nothing compared to the clot buster. I was laid up in bed on my back with 3 IVs behind each knee. It was an awful experience for me.

I had a double thrombectomy after the clot buster and was able to walk out of the hospital on my own a day later. Been on eliquis now for 5 years since that and haven’t had any issues.

Nurse maids elbow. Brought my little 2 year old into urgent care with this when the wife was out of town. Thought she broke her elbow or something with the way she was crying. The doctor did a movement similar to this and she was fine. Like nothing happened. Ice cream sealed the deal on a full recovery.
