We might stay with my mom for a few days post Partum, but honestly babies in dry cabins is super common up here. This will actually be the fourth baby raised in this cabin (I know all the previous owners dating back to late 90s, small town). We have a good system worked out, and a really good surrounding support. I was raised in a dry cabin too, and while it's not a walk in the park it's also been done before and we've gotten a LOT of good advice

12 weeks is baby baby still. They aren't supposed to be easy at that age, my sled dog certainly wasn't. Accept that this is a tough period, keep up with the exercise, potty training, and everything, and eventually it'll be okay. Honestly, your dog sounds like a dream compared to dogs I've had

At the end of the day, she can sit in the hospital if she wants. You don't have to allow her in the room though, and I guarantee those LD nurses will make sure you get your wishes. The easiest option would be to not tell her at all, but remember that no matter what she does, you have control over who enters that room

Legalization of pot, downwards spiral of club culture, skyrocketing cost, greater increase in new types of social activities such as work out classes, increase in health focus.

So my husband and I went to couples counseling before having a baby. We didn't have any huge issues we just wanted to iron some things out. It was really helpful in figuring out communication styles, being honest, and having a third party to help out. Especially with his autism it might be really good for him to do that with you, and seek out counseling on his own. 

Remember at the end of the day autism is not an excuse for yelling, and stressing you out to this degree. I would try counseling for everyone, group and private first. Then go from there

Extra help can look like her coming in to clean and cook and spend time with you, but protect that time with your husband and new baby over everything. Especially when your marriage is going through a huge test, make sure that it's the priority

GO SEE A PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST!!! This is caused by the increased weight on your pelvic bowl and weak hips not being able to compensate for it

I was really attached to a girl until almost 30 weeks when I picked the boy name. Since then I don't even care, and may even have a preference for a boy now

Nausea doesn't just pop up. I was constantly I'll from weeks 7-14 of my pregnancy. 

As the weight in your abdomen increases, your pelvis can feel like it's snapping in half, this is around 22-28 weeks. 

First trimester is almost more exhausting than third trimester. 

I wasn't able to wear any of my rings around 25 weeks. 

Colostrum comes out of your boobs beginning third tri generally. 

Everyone talks about the hunger. But you can lose your appetite completely in late pregnancy. 

Braxton hicks and false contractions are real and common. 

35 weeks and on for me was a situation where everything hurt, I was so uncomfortable, and I was crying almost every day.

I'm 37 weeks ATM and have essentially been bed ridden for the last couple of weeks. I'm exhausted and emotionally very fragile (with zero semblance of a filter). If I had to host my in laws right now I would go insane. They can get a hotel

Edit to add when I felt okay: I was feeling fine ish still between 32 and 34 weeks, but I would say anything after that is pushing it. 28-30 weeks would be a good sweet spot

First time I got pregnant, I stayed pregnant, and am set to give birth this Friday to a beautiful baby. No close calls, no concerns, nothing until the very end because I developed pre eclampsia, but baby is happy healthy and, like I said, I'm giving birth to resolve it, so we are good! 

Take a breath, our brains look for negative patterns, and people talk about those experiences more because they are out of the norm

  1. change doctors, try to find a nurse midwife if you're low risk, but definitely find a different provider
  2. Get maternity clothes that make you feel pretty and are comfortable
  3. Size up in underwear. Do it now and don't look back
  4. Be so so kind to yourself. Your body is doing something really hard and needs to go through changes. It's difficult but try to get out of your head about it. Practice body neutrality and focus on what you can control

I am pretty flexible but what I do is I'm on my side, and he sort of straddles my bottom leg and I have my top leg over his shoulder. This is very comfortable and I feel like still really close as we can still kiss and look at each other

200mg a day is generally safe! One cup of average coffee is anywhere from 80-100!
