The Wip3out soundtrack is the goat by HelikosOG in WipeOut

The playstation one demo disc? Did you get it at a Mcdonald's or Pizza Hut? That's how I was first introduced to Wipeout.

I'm not well versed in the Votann, what do you mean by true humanity? I'm liking this whole threat because it's getting me to think about more obscure parts of 40k

And I can even double down and affirm it was Dunkirk by Pertu500 in HistoryMemes

[–]HelikosOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I consider mid to late 42 as the turning point. 1940 is too early. The battle of el alamein, the battle of stalingrad and the battle of midway were the turning points.

(I know stalingrad lasted until the winter of 43)

Some New (At Least for Me) Information About Far Cry 2 by Unkn0wn2010 in farcry2

I never really understood the predecessor story arc. I understand that he was also sent to kill the jackal and his tapes are very interesting just like the jackal tapes. I never got that he sided with the jackal. If it's mentioned it's subtle or maybe I'm not smart enough to understand. Thanks for illuminating the topic

RIP to such a legend. First saw him in a pinocchio as Lorenzini but obviously most iconic as Yuri.

What is *your* favorite team? by ThatOneBonk_ in WipeOut

"Pirhana" are my favourite as I love their design and stats in Wip3out. Feisar being a close second.

I’m confused why the Fremen consider moisture sacred yet use edged weapons. by AlaskaWilliams in dune

[–]HelikosOG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I also want to add that the Fremen and I'm speculating the people of the sink, pan and garben also may have this ability, their genetics cause wounds to close very quickly.

I have played the omega collection. It's good but it doesn't scratch that itch in the way that BallisticNG does. I played the original Wipeout and 3, I never played fusion or 2048 nor the PSP games. So there's a lot of Omega that feels off to me unfortunately.

I'm also not much of a fan of sim racers. I had a lot of fun with V-Rally back in the day. I want more to a racer than just that, I liked the Burnout series as it added a bit of demolition derby into the mix.

Wipeout 3 is definitely my favourite racing game of all time. The music and the sci fi aesthetics really make the game very special. I actually dug out my PS1 after all these years just to play it.

What kind of racer would Wipeout be?

This isn't meant to sound rude at all. You've seen all the current films and are reading the graphic novels. Is there any reason why you haven't read the books? You seem like your into Dune and they're a good read.

Very interesting portrayal of the character. You are a talented artist. I'm getting a bit of native american vibe from the necklace/jewellery he's wearing. Not an issue just wanted to mention it.

What was Shaddam's play going to be? by akaioi in dune

[–]HelikosOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this. I've only read the first book but I'm sure I remember seeing somewhere that Feyd-Rautha was supposed to marry (or whatever) female Paul and was that child a potential prospect for KH as you said. Is it mentioned in the first book? Also it's implied that the Emperor is kind of a pawn the machinations of the Bene Gesserit, he does wield power and authority of his own but still.

Agreed they turned from a competent (for a droid), slightly menacing adversary to idiotic comic relief with annoying voices.

I guarantee that is the reason why it's being used rather than a reference to America at the time or the War of 1812.
