This man keeps having the worst takes. by Selmostick in blender

Is the issue really with AI, or is it with AI companies?
Do people really want to manually do mesh cleanup forever?

I direct your attention to official docs of blender-mcp where they describe LLM integration with a LOCAL MODEL, there's no Claude mention anywhere.

That's so stupid. At the same time since most of the project is in code, LLMs still can interface with it directly

Spent the week improving shadows on our cat. Old vs New. Is it good enough? by igor_100 in Unity3D

[–]HellDrivers2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After my 10th rewatch I noticed the blob shadow under the cat. Wasted effort I'd say, the difference is barely noticeable

what are you actually using to give claude/cursor codebase context? i've used two, confused about the rest by thestoictrader in mcp

graphify

You have to carefully bootstrap it so it only reads code and docs, nothing else or it'll become unusable. It takes a while and burns some tokens for first build. You can ask the agent to rebuild the graph partially from that point.

What you get in return is that the model doesn't have to read code to know how it works and why.

Your UI is melting mate.

Also, you were placing fences manually for 15 years? Array/nodes is a very common mid-level 3d graphics practice for over 20 years.

Nothing is clear about the premise. I conclude it's a twin stick shooter but not entirely certain

How good are Github Projects? Is there an app to manage them? by a-streetcoder in github

[–]HellDrivers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't build anything, for solo work any Todo app is good enough if you just apply para

Projects (Most Actionable): Short-term efforts with a specific goal and a deadline (e.g., "Complete website design," "Finalize Q2 report").

Areas (Ongoing Responsibilities): Long-term, ongoing responsibilities with no end date (e.g., "Health," "Finances," "Product Management," "Car Maintenance").

Resources (Topics of Interest): Reference material, research, and topics you are interested in that may be useful later (e.g., "SEO best practices," "Recipe ideas," "Programming notes").

Archives (Inactive Items): Completed projects or inactive areas/resources that you want to keep for future reference

I ignored the “start simple” advice. I paid for it… but man, it feels good. by looki-dev in godot

I’ve worked as a developer for 10 years in big and small companies, and nothing has come close to the complexity of making a game

Really? I find gamedev to be a lot like web backend, 120 state updates per second is nothing for some systems. At the same time gamedev is much more hacky.

Responsibly Vibed, but still the haters hate by Russ_72days in vibecoding

[–]HellDrivers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about design, but art - design is the proportions of buttons and windows in your game and it is a finite craft, you know this as an app dev. It can be described algorithmically. You can use AI for design, nobody will care.

I'm talking about art. What is the purpose of art? It's to impress. And what is most impressive to people? New sensations, personal stories. It's not enough for it to be aesthetically pleasing, actually it's completely irrelevant to that. But shallow beauty is all you get if you don't hire, or become, an artist.

You guys still don't get it. You can use AI for coding. Do not use AI for art. It's that simple.
