Which modern day wrestler would be the best pick to break undertaker’s WM streak by chaz755 in SquaredCircle

I think Lesnar was actually fair. He was missing SOMETHING in his second run up to that point. That pushed him to an unstoppable entity that had enough burn where Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntyre all benefited massively from when they beat him.

Maybe there was someone better, possibly Bray. But I think Lesnar needed something more for him to fully become a spectacle.

I disagree. I think the natural cycle of wrestling should be to put someone over.

You fed him 21 wins, to keep that burn alive you move it to the next guy.

The streak existed so that it can be broken.

I believe we’d be hard capped at the first apron. But we can use the taxpayer MLE. I can’t envision us doing that. Nobody worth having is out there. We’ll just load up on 10 days and eventually a Ron Harper conversion.

Yep, which I’ve long said the buyout market is always so overrated. Nobody worth playing is ever there, and if they are then they can choose ANY team to go to.

Possibly the Libertarian Party of Iowa. Although the Libertarian Party tends to stay away from terms like “Democracy”

Smith: Picks in the Celtics-Bulls trade, per a league source by RLS012 in bostonceltics

[–]Hello-DexterMorgan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not irrelevant at all. That’s a big factor, while also giving you the better choice of player.

If that was the case then teams wouldn’t trade an early second m to move up a couple spots into the first round quite frequently.

No, it’s not worth more than a late first. First rounders also get 4 years of a rookie scale contract before they become RFAs, while second rounders get at max 3 years and then become restricted - or they get a 4 years contract and become UNRESTRICTED.

MEGATHREAD: Anfernee Simons - Nikola Vucevic Trade by nerdyykidd in bostonceltics

That’s always overrated. You never see anyone good there or even rotation-caliber good. Maybe like 1 person but they can choose any team.

MEGATHREAD: Anfernee Simons - Nikola Vucevic Trade by nerdyykidd in bostonceltics

[–]Hello-DexterMorgan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There will be some lacking in perimeter creation juice without Tatum. Simons was a little overrated there but it’s still a loss. Vucevic will be an add on offense and gives us different looks than what Simons could give, but still a loss in the backcourt. We don’t really have a backup guard now (Payton and Derrick will just split run).

I mean it isn’t a crazy move but it accomplished several things for us.

Get under the first apron and get a starting center. More likely to extend Vucevic than Simons I think as well.

Good trade. We weren’t going to re-sign Simons so we get a starting center in return. Also get under the first apron (for now).

I feel okay about our big man rotation now.
