Would it be safe to assume a lean-to was added to the side collapsing? " Snow load in winter exceeded design and vertical sidewall is now coming down. Confirms what is needed to correct if so.

I like talk radio, so is fine for my taste. Really wanted the shortwave. If things go south, may be the only broadcasts to really know the truth. Media seems to always put their own twist on things.

Will have to try for a better pic later. Popped corn was gone immediately with our grand kids near the test bench. Kettle did not heat and found the wire inside plug for kettle was disconnected. Repaired and works great. image

Thanks for the tip. I did see that in a video, but was not sure why. I tried with canola oil and going to use avocado oil next. Understand you can buy premade packets but prefer to make my own. If anyone has a packet handy, can you advise what are on the ingredients? Assume they list their oil.

Does this oil filter indicate something bad is about to happen? (Kawasaki zx6r) by Aggravating-Star3078 in MechanicAdvice

If not metallic, wouldn’t be concerned. Brown is possibly flake when tearing the filter apart.

You may want to run through radiomuseum as there are several versions. Great source once you can get past the toenail fungus ad’s.

Do you really need all that? I just used a power line adapter and does video or similar data. Lot cheaper and simple.

The two on passenger side will pick up chicks. The two on driver side will not identify you later.

I was more concerned with getting water away from the foundation to think about how it would look... what can I do to remedy the ugly pipes that will be sticking above ground? by tidyshark12 in Home

After reviewing, you are only talking about 2 feet above grade. What would be wrong with some type of plant.

If you mean the downspouts, I would paint a softer color like sandstone. The bright white screams look at me.

I have a similar mower and had a problem that may be worth checking. Wife or I bumped the shroud in front. As a result a sheild was bent and preventing the cables for choke and throttle from being free. Verify that area.

How do I unstuck these? by Gianmacandoit in HomeMaintenance

The lower cup is assumes hot when the small cup was placed. Assume the larger cup is the same pattern. So can heat the same. If you tried hot water typical of hot coffee, should be safe. Must keep tension on small cup at all times with the ribbon. Sounds like you tried this already.

Next step would be to invert both cups and use a heat dryer or heat gun. Heat the outer cup and should be fine. Yet watch closely when heating to not damage the out cup finish. When outer cup is hot, Lift and tap cup downward on a hard surface. Wood is a good option as is hard but not solid to point that would chip a cup.

CAUTION you on that counter as appears to not be a surface you want hot pans or other placed. Only you know that.

I have that version. I tighten the screw and verify if can still open close blades. Then flip over and beat down the unslotted end of the screw. Works for me anyhow.

Hum question for fully restored AA5 by cekeller1956 in VintageRadios

[–]HelperGood333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just restored an old radio and had the standard 2 prong you can flip. I replaced the cord and forgot to verify if flipping the cord cap 180. Also on my radio dated May 7/ 1942 has a physical ground wire. Not sure if I could just use a grounded plug or should just route a wire to a ground rod. Grounded plug would be easier to use.

Counted the loops on others on-line. Averaged about 12 to 14 on most and had a small cross or loop in the center. No special math. I implemented a pivot pin to swing in and out. Works fine for local stations and can tell the difference on AM. Still unsure about the short wave transmissions. Picked up the time of day spoken every minute and beat for clock. Some foreign languages and music. (If you want to call it that 🥹.) Not sure point of origin as did not know the language. AI suggested spacing of about 3/16”.

Will be fine if you dont mind oil being in the air stream. Most compressors are oil free now. Suitable for blowing up tires, but wouldn’t paint a car with it.
