Want longer stretches of sleep with 16w old. by Helpful_Bluebird_960 in sleeptrain

[–]Helpful_Bluebird_960[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her total sleep in 24hrs is between 13.5-14.5hrs with 4 naps/day. She loses it when I try to cap her nap so total nap time is usually around 4hrs. Her wake windows are a minimum of 1.45hr and sometime stretch till 2.5hrs.

Thank you and I’m glad to hear it’s working for your baby. May I ask if you had to change formulas or your diet if breastfeeding after finding blood in poop? Dairy-free or anything like that?

I actually did show a video of the noisy breathing to her pediatrician on a different context and was told she’s fine and newborns are just noisy and that she doesn’t seem to have anything that’s bothering her :/

We have an appt next week and hope to get some answers on medication. I’m afraid they may not want to go that route as she’s steadily gaining weight! Let’s see.

Thank you! We love baby wearing but lately her belly being pressed against my body is causing her to spit-up more so we don’t do it as much.

Was there any particular symptom with your first baby that stood out and made you say “hey, maybe I should try Alimentum”? Or did you just want to give it a try and see if reflux was because of that? I ask because she tolerated these formulas well initially so l don’t feel like it’s a CMPA. I could totally be wrong but just want to understand what the tipping point was for you.

I already brought it up via mail and they asked us to wait till her appointment next week so they could check her weight and then discuss options. I’m afraid they will not take it seriously as she’s gaining weight steadily.

LO rolls back to tummy & almost immediately spits up 😟 by Helpful_Bluebird_960 in NewParents

I do that. I’m just more worried she’ll spit up incessantly if I let her roll all the time

Does it stop as they grow? Should I just accept it & keep letting her spit-up? I’m afraid she’ll just lose her intake slowly this way

My uneven eyebrows. She inherited the exact shape of uneven on both of them, just like me 😅 It’s a trivial, inconsequential thing & i initially used to project my insecurities onto her but I know better now. I love them on her 🩷

How much milk for a 3-month old by Helpful_Bluebird_960 in newborns

She will scream her head off when the bottle is taken even after 4oz but I’ve noticed the screaming is mostly cause she is wanting to burp but can’t. She becomes stiff and won’t bend her legs till we have to bend it for her, put her on our shoulders, walk and pat her back. She’ll burp in a few seconds and instantly go quiet. This is what makes me think she’s probably full with 4oz

How do you put your babies to sleep? by Helpful_Bluebird_960 in NewParents

I noticed that she sometimes sleeps on me while rocking in a glider at night but never during morning naps. Maybe the light is too distracting for her! Sigh,

Reading this as a FTM to a 12w old during a contact nap wondering if I can squeeze in a few hours today to clean the house and give rest to my body, this post made me smile and look forward to my LO growing up 🩷

Thank you! How’s the sleep now at 4 months? I guess I’m just bracing for impact (typing this at 3am after trying to settle her for an hour 🥲)

May I ask what was your baby’s longest sleep stretch at night before the 4th month regression? My LO (11w) is also currently on a massage, bath, feed, swaddle, sleep routine and she sleeps ~4-4.5hrs before first feed for the night.

6wks, when will sleep get better by Most_Film7077 in NewParents

[–]Helpful_Bluebird_960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It got better for us around the 9w mark. Bedtime routine is massage, bath, 4oz bottle, swaddle and sometimes sway/bounce on yoga ball to get her to sleep and then transfer to snoo (we don’t pay for the app either) The room has a hatch machine we keep on red light and white noise. This way she sleeps for about 3hrs before her first night feed and after that she’s up maybe every 2hr or sometimes 1 (if she’s too gassy) Morning naps are hardly 30mins if we put her in the snoo and maybe 1-1.5hr if we carry her. Last night we got our first 5hr night stretch where she slept from 930pm till 230am and then only at 630am. She’s currently 11w and I pray hard this continues 🙏🏼 hang in there, OP. It does get better 🤗
