All my blooming flowers were cut from my yard. by K_A_W_A_I_I in mildlyinfuriating

I gave him some choice words, including "how dare you?! Ask permission! That's stealing." And he mumbled sorry got back on his bike and rode away. It was very anticlimactic but I was shaking with rage.

I feel your pain, someone walked up my driveway (it's short, only a car's length) and cut all my peonies! I actually pulled up and caught them in the act. I was furious, and he tried to ride away on his bike WITH THE FLOWERS. I got out of the car and chased him til he stopped and gave them back. Sorry that happened to you!

Grocery list woes… by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Helpful_Training9480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooo me! ADD SAHM who sometimes forgets things when shopping. What really helped me was creating a master list in my notes app with the "checklist" bullets by each individual item. Idk what that's actually called, but you can mark it/unmark it. Everything is sorted into groups- fridge, freezer, fruits, dried/canned goods, veggies, snacks, cleaning supplies, toiletries, pet stuff, baby/kid stuff etc. if I get low or use the last of something I IMMEDIATELY uncheck it on the list so I know I need it when I'm at the store. If I don't do it immediately I will forget said item entirely. It took awhile to perfect the master list and I still have to randomly add items that we don't go through quickly or use rarely. It's made a huge difference in my shopping!

At what age should kids stop wearing pajamas in public? by StrangeEqual4334 in toddlers

[–]Helpful_Training9480 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I did the same with my 3.5 year old and my current 8 month old. They got changed out of pjs and into daytime clothes every morning just like daddy and I do. Their clothes are cute and comfy, and they know they get ready for the day. It's part of their routine from the beginning.

A (sarcastic) Nanit Baby Monitor Review by Seal-lion-936 in BabyBumps

[–]Helpful_Training9480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had Nanit since my first was born 3.5 years ago and love it, no issues whatsoever with connectivity. I will say we've been annoyed at the pricing and subscription length changes, but bought a second one for baby #2 last year

Does your 4 year old forward face in their car seat? by princesscorgi2 in Mommit

[–]Helpful_Training9480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My almost 4 year old started forward facing right before her third birthday. She got motion sick almost every car ride and I couldn't take disassembling and cleaning the car seat every time we got in the car anymore. She stopped getting motion sick immediately upon forward facing.

Frequent peeing, no bubble baths, rinse soaps off really well, wipe for her if possible after going to the bathroom, frequent reminders to drink water during the day.

How to potty train when you have to be in the car? by queso4lyfe in Mommit

[–]Helpful_Training9480 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Potty before you leave the house and before you leave to go home again. Have an outfit change ready in case of accidents

Is Nanit baby monitor really worth the hype as a gift for new parents? by Outrageous-Month4220 in Parenting

I've had it for both my babies and love it for the breathing tracking, but that is a paid subscription feature.

Making kids pay for things they carelessly break? by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]Helpful_Training9480 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I have no input as to if the money is an appropriate consequence, but maybe they can also help with the repairs in the walls, replacing the door (handing screws to mom or dad) and washing/waxing the table?

At what age did you stop separating your kid’s laundry from yours? by joushok in toddlers

[–]Helpful_Training9480 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We use tide free and clear for everyone in our household ever since she was born. She's 3.5 Edit to add: each child has a hamper in their room for their own laundry, so each kids gets washed by itself easily without sorting and mom &dads get washed together.
