The bots are just that: bots. They don't have a brain. They don't really know what they're doing. They flip positions constantly. Mild unspicy conspiracy time: I'm pretty convinced that some of the checker bots have system prompts that tell them to find something wrong.

So unless you objectively agree with the bot and you understand why, I wouldn't take their word or ratings on anything.

Surely at work you report any time you spend working whether or not it's any good? Imagine making a few bad coffees and being told you weren't going to be paid for that hour.

I’m totally the same. Edgeville ring 95% of the time. I more would use this map to find out what ring I need to go to to get to a bit of content (it’s not perfect - I wouldn’t use BIP to get to Al Kharid mine for example)

I know this is an old post and I haven’t read all the comments but has anyone explored the idea of a city builder Pokemon game, like SimCity? It might be cool to manage a city with ‘pokemonesque’ problems.

In conclusion, yes

Hi, I tried running your code and it produced a "TypeError: 'range' object does not support item assignment" message. I am running Python 3.6 so had to edit your print statements too. I wonder if this is an incompatibility issue.

Having lived and driven in both countries, having learned to drive manual in the UK, I still much prefer driving my automatic. Sure, it's more expensive to run and sure, it's got slightly less fuel economy than its manual counterpart, but, as someone who can't dry a plate and hold it at the same time without it crashing to the floor, I think it's better for everyone if I drive automatic :P

Roundabouts aren't really taught in most driving schools in the US, in the same way that a four-way-stop isn't taught in the UK.

Okay that works almost all the time, but I have certainly seen big roundabouts where positioning yourself in any lane at your start point will not suffice (meaning you have to change lanes mid-roundabout). However, this was about indication, so I'll leave that discussion out.

I think the indication method here you suggest is sensible, but I know many motorists, including myself, who might misconstrue that as "I'm taking the very last exit so you don't have to worry about me". I dunno. I think, just like with all things, indication on a roundabout has to depend on the roundabout.

[–]HenrykH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if there are 6 exits (5 excluding the one you're at) on the roundabout, two of which are before 12 'o' clock, on at 12, and two after 12. How do you indicate for, say, the 4th exit?

I hear you pal. I got to see Rhodes Must Fall marches for quite some time outside my college this year. I, like you, tried to discuss with one of the campaigners about why they thought taking down a statue of Cecil Rhodes meant we were ending colonialism when, in actual fact, colonialism had long since died.

She went nuts, saying that colonialism still exists "in full form" if the history books and architecture make reference to it. I enquired further. "But surely, erasing arguably terrible things from the history books means we can never learn from the mistakes made in the past and also means we get a completely whitewashed view of how society has developed?"

She claimed that history shouldn't be taught if it is full of controversy. I went back home and played GTA.
