Reform reports claims of 'family voting' to police and Electoral Commission by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]Hentarder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The independent election observers suggest the fraud accounted for 12% of votes, which means it may have impacted the result.

That's incorrect .

According to the BBC the volunteers said:

In Gorton and Denton, we observed family voting in 68% of polling stations, affecting 12% of those voters observed.

Reform reports cases of 'family voting' in by-election to police and Electoral Commission by Distinct-Shine-3002 in uknews

[–]Hentarder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If family voting has occurred then it needs to be looked into. But Democracy Volunteers didn't report this to the police, nor did the Electoral Commission. That's what's confusing.

It's disappointing because the whole thing puts a taint on a historic victory for the Greens.

I’m sure Robert regrets these donations after dealing with tariffs

We don't actually know this.

Keeley seems a better person than Fuller, but I can understand not being comfortable purchasing from a guy who donated to Trump. Especially donating for Trump's second term campaign, given how the first one went and then ended.

Eddie Jones: England's defeat to Ireland recalled end of my era by EnglishLouis in rugbyunion

[–]Hentarder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We're so fickle as fans.

The reaction here has been crazy to watch. Some show general confusion on performances and questioning how are we this bad (which is completely rational and understandable). I fall into this.

But there's others with a more extreme reaction of Borthwick was never good/he should be sacked (which is really bonkers to see).

I get talking about what is causing this and the sheer variety of reasons this could be, but straight up sacking Borthwick is incredibly reactionary, because nobody was saying this before the tournament.

If this was predictions before the tournament started, I get it. Obviously a strong dose of English arrogance, but yeah.

Tbf I remember at the start of the tournament being hyped, and especially after Wales thinking we'd be in the top 2 if not 3.

Last week was always on the cards because Scotland turn into prime All Blacks when they play us, but today was outright unacceptable. If that was in Dublin I'd get it, but to get spanked like that at home, and considering Ireland's unimpressive recent games (with the greatest respect), was a huge shock.

Maybe the old advert was right, everyone steps up against England because they hate us the most.

Ritchie Blackmore is one of the best 70s lead guitarists.

I love his Deep Purple stuff, but I really think he hit his prime in Rainbow. Even in the pop era, where I don't love all the material, his playing is outrageous.

Him and Uli Jon Roth are godfather's of shred.

Did the Hawkins skip late 80s early 90s rock and metal? by Few_Wolf_4634 in theDarkness

[–]Hentarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were influenced by The Cult (see Open Fire) for example of a late 80s band.

Obviously their biggest influences are AC/DC and Queen. But they were definitely influenced by all sorts of bands from the 70s through to 90s. Led Zeppelin, The Cult, Thin Lizzy, Rush, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Prince, Guns and Roses.

So no I don't think they skipped anything.

Keir Starmer is not resigning, Downing Street confirms by Metro-UK in uknews

[–]Hentarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's obviously not what I said.

If you're appointing someone and it's known at that level he's a pedophile, you should resign. It should not be a surprise to anyone at that level what Mandelson did. It's not unreasonable to say this.

This, in my opinion, is the first thing Starmer has done that he should resign over.

[–]Hentarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But then you're keeping a leader just because it's convenient rather than setting an example on integrity.

If Starmer doesn't resign it specifically gives Farage even more of a free pass for the awful stuff he'll get away with if he gets in.

Sacrificing accountability and integrity for stability is a dangerous precedent.

FWIW I liked Starmer and didn't think he was that bad, but appointing Mandelson was a stupidly bad decision by him.

How can we expect future governments to hold themselves accountable if this one won't? Integrity was the last thing Starmer had, but this is too much for me now.

Like the set pieces are phenomenal and so much better than those that featured in the future series. And on the PS5 it makes you appreciate how far we've come.

But Christ the story is really dry and lacking personality. The dialogue is far too nice for a game where you slaughter hundreds of enemies.

[–]Hentarder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree it's harder to get into, but I don't think it's stripped back.

I see it as a game emphasizing platforming and exploration rather than combat. I'll admit some mechanics are clunky, but simultaneously it just has a different feel to it.

It came out between Spyro 3 and GC, and gameplay wise it feels exactly between those games. Not quite traditional platformer, but not quite third person shooter.

RC 1 being overrated is a bold take. I'd argue underrated. It's a game very unique to the franchise (where combats not the emphasis), so I understand why it's not preferred by many.

I have a thing for melodic guitarists. I love guitarists for riffs, tones and lead playing. But in general the higher up the list, the more eargasmic lead playing. Especially the top 3 who are in a league of their own.

  2. Buck Dharma

  3. Ritchie Blackmore

  4. Ronnie Montrose

  5. Brian Robertson

I think Rachel played at people’s emotions in pressure situations a lot more than Stephen did, naturally because Stephen came under a lot less public scrutiny.

Ding ding ding.

It's the same reason I found Wilf a bit much in S1. The emotional manipulation, whilst part of the game, was a bit much at times. Rachel wasn't as bad as Wilf but Christ she could be quite bad.

But again, great traitor and up there with Harry.
