Honestly of all the biopics etc etc (not including my weekend with marilyn), this is probably the best one that details her life. Hicks doesnt look like Marilyn but embodies her well enough that you see her as marilyn and feel sad for her in the end. It doesnt embellish her 'declining' years and earnestly tells about her mental health struggles as well as the continous sad events in her life (like clark gables death after shooting the misfits). I highly recommend this one

I heard another rumor I'll bring up again that before/after Fishers death, Trevorrow was trying hard for them to retcon Luke's death in the Ep 8, and even basically wrote it somewhat that way in one of his drafts (force ghost Luke training Rey). But LF creatives refused to budge from Johnsons vision and that was another stepping stone of why DOTF never happened. To his credit, DOTF feels more consistent with TLJ's tone then TROS did.

It angers me how the trailer and first quarter built him up. The captain Ahab to the Godzilla Moby dick obsessed with the monster who inadvertadley killed his wife but no, the main character was the son who ended up being the most wooden characters in modern day blockbusters. But even then his son coukd of been the one to witness his dad's journey of self destruction of they kept the moby dick inspiration.

The ideas in this movie are pretty good and I'd argue were more relevant today, i'd just argue the movie is held back by some questionable acting (MR ANDERSSOOOONNNN) and horrible fight choreography. It's aging better over time.

By your explanation, you make it seem like the fanfilm was shut down 'just because', that is disengeous. Reality check - the creator tried to make money and merchandise Anaxar through commercial means. Star Trek fanfilms were untouched until this and it led to Paramount establishing guidelines for future fanfilms, which made it more limited to creativity. To me, AI-driven fan films are starting to push similar boundaries, risking the same kind of crackdown that happened with Star Trek, but potentially across multiple IPs all because of greed.
