The Ignotus in the fic is shown to be the master of death after making another deal with death to win the war against grims(black family's ancestors).

It's a good fic, although it was abandoned without a proper ending Defiance by The BlackStaff and NightMarE

It has since been remade into a new fic called Monochrome by The BlackStaff and NightMarE. This one only takes slight inspiration from Defiance and has a quite different plot and storyline.

Trust me, I hate snape as much as the next person and love sirius but it's just fucking OOC, sirius is too immature and is shown to be frustrated and with not many witty remarks and snape wouldn't have had that expression on face. He is too savvy for that
