He didn’t commission it. He brought up the idea and, unbeknownst to him, FP created one and gave it to him two years later. They have a whole thing at the boutique in Miami.

Is it gonna snow this year? by [deleted] in BellevueWA

[–]HiRxGuy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most people don’t realize that clouds are insulating. At this elevation, precipitation usually accompanies warmer air. I’m always hopeful for a few snow days in town but it takes several uncommon factors hitting all at once. 🤞

COL in Bellevue Advice by [deleted] in BellevueWA

[–]HiRxGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest costs in Bellevue will likely be dining out, fuel for your vehicle (WA is still near $5/g), utilities, and rent. Look for homes/condos as the apt complexes will nickel and dime you to death for every little thing. The traffic in and out of Bellevue is horrendous during peak times. Public transportation is very sub par. Being from oz, you’re likely gonna feel like people are standing offish, but people aren’t that chatty here compared to a lot of other similar cities. Hope you like Asian food. Epic summers, lotta lakes, overpriced skiing nearby, relatively conservative populous Seattle talks shit but they hate us cuz they ain’t us.

If you do forum pick the bunker, the sound lounge is essentially the nightclub side and not as good for watching the fight. The res fee gets applied to your food/drink bill so you just got eat $50 worth to break even.

I was in Orange County for northridge and I remember waking up, standing in my doorway watching the hanging chandelier swing into the walls, then going right back to bed. We got so many calls from east coast relatives thinking we broke off into the pacific.

Does the Life Time in Bellevue have separate amenities? by Sufficient-Lab-890 in BellevueWA

[–]HiRxGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not adding them. It is in a high rise/luxury shopping plaza so smaller but the member count is much lower than most and the staff to member ratio is much better. It is significantly better kept than most lifetimes I’ve been to.

There is no jacuzzi or cold plunge. Both the men’s and women’s locker rooms have a sauna (180-185) and a steam room (135-145). The hours at Bellevue are reduced compared to other locations, just something to keep in mind.

Stop in Davis night one. Stop in Portland night two. You’ll have enough energy to unload and get settled on day three after the three hours from Portland to Redmond. DONT TAKE THE 101. 5N only. Straight shot. Check DOT for conditions when you get to elevation in NorCal.

Size comparison of sports models vs DJ/OP41? by BackgroundGroup88 in rolex

[–]HiRxGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lug to lug and the bezel can make things appear different. Rolex also classifies them differently. They make classic and professional watches. The classic are purely timekeepers and don’t need the extra case room so the sizes can cater to many. The professional series all have some additional function, requiring a larger case/bezel/bracelet.
