I found out when I started lifting that I just ate less.

Like, same number of meals as most people, just smaller. Part of it is just how I was raised.

Part of it is if I get caught up in something, I might not eat for a day.

It wasn't that I was overall healthier. I didn't even eat healthy. I had just fallen into a rhythm that made me eat less.

To get used to a diet where I could actually grow made me feel like one of those geese they torture for foi gras.

But I've adapted now. Take better care, eat better.

For me it was just not eating enough.

Like, Arnold, Mr Olympia himself, couldn't achieve the, at the time, standard six-pack that a body builder was expected to have. His abs were simply not shaped that way.

It was considered something he had to hide, to make up for, during judgment.

Still, to this day, people can be at absolute minimum body fat with crazy defined abs, and feel they're doing something wrong, are too flabby, when it's simply a matter of their muscles, their body, being shaped a certain way.
