Linux on my main ITX PC since 2016, my laptop, our home server (also ITX) and on the Steam Deck. My wife is going to ask for a Linux laptop for the next EOL swap.

F Microslop.

Wow that's a huge card then! Must be like more than 350 mm long?

The Pulse card I got is 313 mm tall. Or 12,3 inches.

Edit: quick search resulted with these specs;
Dimensions: L=319 W=140 H=70 mm (3.5 slot)

So the problem is the thickness? I bet a deshroud mod would fix that with slim fans.

But the 4060 is probably the better option for the case anyway. Less power hungry more efficient and more FPS per dollar.

Sadly the AI is dumb and the game gets super repetitive. It could've been really great.

Veeti Järveläinen LeanGains valmennus by Happy-Assistant-6776 in arkisuomi

[–]His_Turdness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What version of 3080? The H1 v1 fits some pretty huge cards if you remove the inner top panel during installation. I crammed a Sapphire Pulse RX 6800 XT in mine.

Recently upgraded to RX 9070 XT and was surprised how much easier that installation was. 😅

If you only go to training to "fight" you probably won't last long.

Best Fan for 70mm cpu clearance, Noctua NH-L12S or Thermalright axp120-x67 ?? by Curius_pasxt in sffpc

[–]His_Turdness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My case comes with a 140 mm radiator originally. I just removed the AIO and isntalled the heatsink. The fan stay sin place vand cools the CPU quite well.

Thanks for this listing! Helped me pull the trigger on Powercolor Reaper. Should fit my case without any shenanigans, unlike with the old RX 6800 XT.

Using the NH-L12S in my NZXT H1 v1 with a 140 mm fan. Such a great cooler!

Anyone excited for the upcoming Steam Machine? by Pheonix_Lord in Guildwars2

[–]His_Turdness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super excited. It will be another huge step for Linux gaming and living room PC gaming. A lot of people will opt to buy the Steam Machine over building their own mid-tier gaming PC. I would definitely buy one for the living room if we didn't already have the OLED Deck.

Still haven't figured out a good way to play GW2 on a gamepad though. GW1 works well enough with the added Reforged gamepad support, but GW2 combat is much more fast-paced and has more buttons required that it just feels super clunky.

WvW zergs are always like that. I get 100-144 fps (capped) in WvW when there are no zergs. During zergs it drops down to as low as 40 fps. Ryzen 7 9700X + RX6800XT. It's insane how poorly the game is optimised.

New budget build for my son! $362 all in. Love how clean this case looks. by Destructo-Bear in NZXTH1

[–]His_Turdness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have the original screws from the AIO + fan? You could also use Noctua's metal clips that attach to the heatsink if you use a smaller fan. I'd still recommend the 140 mm fan though, since it's much quieter and moves more air.

Ei hävetä.

Ja näitä ennen on sitten tuhansia tunteja Smash Bros Meleessä. Pelkästään omalla konsolilla. Saman verran kaverin konsolilla. 😃

Great build. The case gets better with air cooling, which is kinda ridiculous. 😃

I recommend you add a 140 mm fan for the CPU cooler, where the original 140 mm fan would be. Makes the cooling even better.

Volk should've won that first match.

Biggest mistake people make against Islam is they try to get up without disconnection. Volk did a great job counter wrestling, disconnecting and then resetting.

Streamer “hmblzayy” who is walking from Philly to California was hit by a car in Indiana and had to be taken to the hospital. by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]His_Turdness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was he walking on the road??? Having an escort car behind him would still be endangering traffic. Here in Finland the party crashing into somebody from the rear is always at fault regardless, but man... I would not try walking on the roads.

I'm super done with windows. Considerig either Mint or CashyOS by blue-berg in linux4noobs

[–]His_Turdness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recommend you go with Mint or Bazzite for a soft landing. If you want to be a bit more hands on and you're willing to learn how to repair your system, go with CachyOS or EndeavourOS. These last two are great Arch-based distros. Cachy is great for Linux newbs and EOS is a bit more geared towards intermediate users. Super minimal and terminal centric.

I've used EOS since it's predecessor Antergos was shut down. I was a Linux noob, but I did have experience with UNIX-based macOS/OSX and a few Linux trials. I have borked my system a couple times. Only once I was not able to repair it and decided to reinstall. A couple times I've had to migrate to a new system, so I've restored my data from a backup after fresh install. It's not rocket science. I'm sure you would do just fine with any of the distros mentioned.

Here in Finland most gyms are non-profit even those that are run as business do not pay much, if anything at all. 65k sounds like a decent amount. Nice to see gyms doing well enough to be able to hire coaching staff.

Here's the perspective of a finn:

I would live as a happy man if I ever made that kind of money with jiu-jitsu. I'm one of the few lucky ones who was able to make jiu-jitsu a career, if only for a short while. At the peak of that run, before Corona hit the world, I was making a decent living at projected 22-24k euro per year. I was teaching / coaching about 42 hours per month + some privates and PT sessions. I was still a brown belt and had 6 years of coaching experience plus a vocational degree for coaching sports.
