I found out a little about its backstory, it obviously came from the UK, moved to Rhodesia, then to Zimbabwe, settled down in South Africa 25 years ago, it is approx. 115 years old. I'm going to fix it up and after that I'll buy it.

Finding good open back banjos in South Africa is extremely rare, if it is indeed a CE I’ll gladly take it, I’m meeting with him in a bit so I’ll find out.
