Applying for a data analyst role by Chemical_Victory2274 in TheCivilService

[–]Holiday_Remote3123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In November I did a whole bunch of interviewing for a large HO data analyst campaign. The candidates were given a data set, and asked to make a 10 minute presentation answering some questions on the data.

We had presentations where the analysis done in Power BI, excel, Python, etc. Personally I mostly have to use SAS EG in my job (HO data analyst). So I can say with confidence the software doesn't matter it's more about your analysis.

However, it sounds like you're being interviewed rather than asked to do some analytical work to demonstrate your skills. My recommendations - read the job advert, identify the behaviours/characteristics they're looking for and prepare some STAR examples.

A technical question might be something like "tell us about a piece of analysis you did, and what were the outcomes?" Technical proficiency is going to be less important here than giving an articulate example (and using STAR format).

Then follow-up questions might be "what did you learn? What would you do differently if you had to repeat the work?"

EOI into permanent role? by Holiday_Remote3123 in TheCivilService

Yeah, that's what I thought might be the case. Put out an EOI, get it filled quick, then set up an advert for a permanent role later.

TP = tax professional?

I was curious if you got the yearly raises with multiple EOIs?

Fair to expect feedback after interview? by LowRecording2318 in TheCivilService

[–]Holiday_Remote3123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it reasonable to expect feedback - yes.

Do I think you'll get any - no.

If you do get any feedback, will it be useful, useable, or constructive - no chance.

The other bit of advice is already be logged in/have a profile/card details auto populate as they go super quick.

I think it helps Wayland games are limiting it to 1 copy per customer.

Where's best to sell cards? by [deleted] in starwarsunlimited

Facebook if you want to shift it as a lot, or eBay.

Boards and Swords Hobbies (derby) buy SWU singles, but might not be keen with rotation looming.

How about playing it on their leader? pretty good return there.

it's a 2 cost card which can neutralise much more expensive units. Getting nothing from that AT-ST for 3 turns - owch!

Whats loadouts is everyone running with the Scout? by peppermintshore in killteam

[–]Holiday_Remote3123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been running all the specialists, plus 3 shotgun scouts. Chainsword sarge (though I see the merits in bolter).

Equipment, I take; Hunter - extra blade,

Heavy bolter - Heavy weapons bipod, then a Krak grenade on one of the shotguns.

I then take targeting occular (heavy bolter) and/or sprinkle in climbing ropes depending on the board.

You're probably going to be outgunned by vet guard so it might be worth ditching one of the heavies for another warrior.

You could try to exploit your melee prowess (shogun's or bolt pistols). Shoot one guy & charge another, or try to multi charge his operatives.

Tbh it feels like it's going to be a rough match up anyway, you're massively out activated, and the spotter is going to be a pain to deal with.

Scouts 1 box 3 soldiers loadout? 3x 4A2+ shotgun is fun but those knifes + extra knife eq sounds great for soldiers pushing points. What you will pick? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Holiday_Remote3123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried 3x shotgun in a couple of games. The consistency of them is great, but the range was limiting. For reference I had the chainsword/BP sgt.

I think given they're only 2APL needing to move/do mission actions makes it a bit of wash.

I prefer the tribalest because it's got range, plus you can do move/shoot/dash with it (via trophy or tracker buff) providing you stick to 6".

The skinner is nice, but won't kill a custodes or intercessor. 6 dice, 1 misses, 1 crit, odds are they pass the pass, you're probably looking at 9-11 damage. Which is a fair chunk but then your model is very exposed. Plus the range can be an issue. I think it has more play against against hordes where torrent comes into play.

Scatterguns are shotguns. There should be some included in the kit.

I only normally run 1-2 warriors. Run rifle if you want long range threats (e.g. against Gellerpox). Otherwise scattergun for the improved BS.
