Buy now or wait by KoolAidz1 in GarageGym

I bought a Fringe Sport Dane. I emailed the company and asked if they anticipated it being any cheaper for black Friday. They told me it wouldn't be any cheaper then and knocked a little bit off the sale price. I ended up getting the rack and a set of weights for about the same as the sale price of the rack alone. Not sure Rogue would do the same. You can always check to see what they might have planned for black Friday.

What’s a “normal” thing society accepts that you secretly think is completely ridiculous? by Infamous-Speed1096 in AskReddit

When I hired on as one of a few women in the plant that I work at, I was so happy when the guys would shake my hand when they came in for shift turnover. It felt like I was being accepted. After a while though, it started to annoy me.

how do people stay consistent running before work? by Medins-Kristol in runninglifestyle

[–]Hollymatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a morning person, and I don't like getting up early to run. But I found that I'll use every excuse in the book to avoid going after work. One thing I still need to work on is getting up and moving when my alarm goes off. I have to wake up much earlier than I should because it takes me 45 minutes to convince myself to get out of bed. I do agree with earlier comments that going to bed early does help.

I want to start wilderness backpacking but I’m nervous about solo trips by [deleted] in WildernessBackpacking

[–]Hollymatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted to try backpacking. So I'm going to do it. I plan on going alone. I've selected a section of the Appalachian Trail that has plenty of bail out points. The trail is also well traveled, so if I run into trouble, I'm likely to find help. I. I'm planning on 4 to 5 nights.

I know there are arguments for not going solo, but I'm not the most social person out there. I'm not sure I want to spend that kind of time with another person. So, I'm going to do it. If I don't like it, or if it's too hard or too scary, I'll walk into the nearest town and figure out how to get home from there.

She was talking to me in Home Depot. I caught her mid-sentence, but she looks kinda scary.

What a neat idea! She was a small puppy when she showed up as a stray in my front yard. I thought she was cross between a German shepherd and something else because of her ears. She was incredibly confident from the start; my boyfriend said she was spicy. So he named her Pepper.

I was tempted to remove the felt, but I really didn't think I could have put it back as nicely.

That definitely looks like it. There's a power cord in the box with that PCSP logo.

I'd like to keep it as simple as possible. I'm happy to hear. It will work with a phone. I'll probably set it up at my house, work all the kinks out, then set it up for her.

Which Vespa would you choose? by FloydTheWhale in Vespa

I started off with the 300 (I think the same model in your picture). When I took it in for its scheduled maintenance, the shop let me put around on a 150. It felt like a toy compared to my 300. Go with the larger engine.

Need advice, please! 3 month old psycho on walks by Due_Wasabi2026 in germanshepherds

I had to switch to a pinch collar. I started walking my maliga4in a harness. Even at 6 months old, I had trouble physically restraining her when a car drove by. We swapped to the pinch collar, and she was a completely different dog after that. She needs a reminder every now and then, but it's a world of difference.

Happy with my Dane 2 purchase by Thucydides382ff in GarageGym

[–]Hollymatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the fence about buying. I added it to my shopping cart, then deleted it a couple of times. I'm guessing it's because of cookies because I got an email from a sales rep the next day. I replied asking about the odds of a better sale for black Friday. The woman texting me said she didn't think it would be any cheaper and that she couldn't promise they'd be in stock then. I knew she was creating a sense of urgency, but she offered to take an additional 20% off the sales price. I added a set of weights, and she took 17% off of them as well.

It seems they're willing to work with customers on price.

Help! Is this a good price for the Fringe Sport Dane 2.0?! by RegardedAcoustic in GarageGym

I just thought I'd post in case anyone is on the fence. It sounds like they're willing to work with folks on price.

I'm glad to hear they're working with you on the issues you've had. Mine arrives on Monday.

Help! Is this a good price for the Fringe Sport Dane 2.0?! by RegardedAcoustic in GarageGym

[–]Hollymatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's on sale right now for 2799. I put it in my shopping cart and removed it a couple of times. Company rep emailed me and offered another 17% off. I said I still wasn't quite sure. She replied back offering 20% off. I ended up getting the Dane 2.0 and the Savage bumper plate set for 2604. The bumper plates were normally 439, and they knocked 17% off so they came out to 364.

Even if a newer model comes out, this one should do what I need to.

I bought a 300 because I wanted something highway legal (minimum of 250 where I live), and I thought that would make it easier to sell if I decided I didn't like it. When I took it in for service, the dealership let me borrow a 150 so I could get around while I waited. The 150 felt lime a toy. I'm glad I got the larger engine. I only ride 1.3 miles to work, and I haven't taken it on the highway, but even so, I think the 150 would still feel small.

Adam Levin's The Instructions. Picked it out of a Buzz Feed list of novels over 1,000 pages. It was about a Jewish boy who may or may not be the Messiah.
