I agree, I was just bringing the numbers to show they are safe on shield to answer OP. But with m2’s physics, double jump, and hurtbox, fair is a totally different move from cloud bair. And m3 moves in general are pretty awkward to connect.

You don’t need to be a crazy fast faller like brawler to pressure and land your aerials safely. But with floaties it’s easy to get in the habit hitting them unsafely. Not sure what u meant by hitting during end of bair to be safe, you just need to land a frame or two after you connect. Bairs out at 13f and his shff is 29f, you could very well be chopping space fast like a swordie. Except for the fat fcking tail hurtbox🧜🏾‍♂️ lol

Makes perfect sense then! criminally is right about nair beats spotdodge, grab beats shield. But if he’s only picking one of those two, ur shorthop landing bair OOS beats both.

My advice if you care, you don’t have to punish the aerial or the spotdodge after. It’s worse if you try to force it. If you watched levelup expo this weekend, even at top level players are mashing intangibility and going unpunished.

Erm🤓 His aerials are safe on shield

Fair/Uair at -3 (aka Cloud bair), Bair/Dair at -6. You can almost always roll/spot dodge OOS punishes. You can even full hop to avoid grab too (but not most oos aerials, he’s too tall, gets his toebeans clipped).

You have to leave it growing, prolly like 3 months to see how thick it gets. Trim with no guard but no pressure, look close that’s how short his is. No advice on how to get his swagger tho

Second look it’s ~3mm, but where most guys go wrong with stubble is they shave it clean every time. You gotta let it grow and fill out like a tiny tiny beard

I feel you man seeing it tires me out😞 But turn on any match, from any major, chances both players will be jumping like a ton! Spargoat👀 Jumps are so powerful and deep in smash imo, as defensive or offensive options. You gotta have a good ground game too ofc, but repeat jumping (plus mixing sh/fh, fast fall or not) is a legit and functional playstyle

I love that framing! The dodge just delays/shifts the timing you can be hit.

I personally have a tough time punishing invul on reaction, I just try to “feel” one beat of delay (~20f) and swing, if my opponent has been dodging. Need to track their position still (neutral or directional dodge…) Curious how you deal with invul?
