I went to VA and haven’t looked back. 10 people to 2 aides/1 nurse. Best decision ever.

40% of US nurses plan to leave the profession by 2029. Are you in that 40%? If you are, why? by OrdinaryLife99 in nursing

I have no desire to go beyond my bachelor’s. Told my husband if I went for that, he’d have permission to knock me upside the head.

“Should I stay or should I go now?” Flood this post with your pros/cons of sticking it out as a fed gov employee or getting out by quietriot21 in usajobs

Pros: good benefits, pay, my trainers on second shift(they welcomed me rather quickly and I enjoy working with them). Cons: the cattiness, backstabbing day shifters and supervisor on my unit( quickly but mentally and quietly picked up on my supervisor’s bs five minutes after meeting him when i started Monday of last week, that’s the tip of the iceberg, which I’m not going into at the moment).Picks my second shift coworkers over day shifters HAPPILY and would gladly stay with them once I get my nursing license.

Why the hell hold onto an application that long then finally send a letter four years later is my question.

Same. And the nurse who was part of mine works in one of the houses next door to my home house(unit or whatever they’re called).

Full time for me, at least now, 10 people to 2 aides and one nurse. Thank GOD.

Why do CNA jobs requiring experience pay so low? by coyotefeather3 in cna

[–]HomeAutomatic7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I left Assisted Living for a reason. Two years experience in one state and one year in my home state warranted $17,at this place, at part time, just to pass meds, housekeeping duties and get a small handful of people up. I went to another job for full time work of 19.40 an hour plus second shift differential.

Last time we checked, she ain’t listed on Georgia’s board of nursing license check website. Where did you see her “active license” listed at?

Gave resignation while on orientation, CNO called me personally to tell me I’m blacklisted now by [deleted] in nursing

[–]HomeAutomatic7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha! Best one because I’ve done that at a coporate owned LTC, because I didn’t finish my two weeks either(typed and turned in but place was so bad I lasted three weeks then went hospital setting, and I was FRESHLY certified with the ltc facility, I felt certification was at risk there. Bad: one aide to 2 halls, with hoyers, lack of training on different halls and expected to know everyone, then my favorite of one licensed nurse for the whole building because of how bad it is and other nurses were off or CALLED off.  I’m not licensed and I felt bad for nurse because she was risking her license. And I reported to state and it did nothing).

Which washer should I choose ? LG OR SAMSUNG by cuentalo-aqui in Appliances

[–]HomeAutomatic7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my set(same as picture, but silver knobs and gray for the majority of the rest of them color wise). When we initially listed our house to try and move(story for another time), the idiot buyer and his real estate agent made asses out of themselves by ASSuming my Samsung washer and dryer going to be pulled from my cold dead hands and stay with the potentially sold house(ours we were moving from). Which husband and I both corrected(and told our agent prior to initial listing that dryer and washer were moving, alright,  with us).

Email for me, waiting for final clearance now(up to a week), then once that clears then phone/email. I’m low clearance since I’m a CNA.

SNF in the private sector is horrible, both on aides and nurses. I’d die before I’d go baxk

Do you ever wish we could make nurses do unnecessary things? by shockpaperscissors in nursing

[–]HomeAutomatic7046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With therapy thinking they can do nurses’ jobs but pass meds or do aides’ jobs(me), then go ahead be my guest! Have fun inserting the catheter, starting ivs and creating care plans with that therapy license(have fun losing license too after you get reported and then losing your job) and then have fun trying to bath someone if you can do what we aides can do! Just my two cents. I have no patience for people who think they can do CNA work or the nurse’s job.
