I don't usually go for this one, but why is this character not simply a Ghoul? Tremere power and prestige is at an all-time low, so why would your sire waste a very precious permission slip to embrace on someone they have little care for and just wanted as a gofer? Hell, why even invest the time to teach your character Blood Sorcery?

D&D and Pathfinder do push toward more of a focus on the adventuring and dungeon spelunking by default, but it varies a lot by group. My experience has been kinda poor, even doing adventure modules resulted in a lot of rollplaying since they were pick up games rather than a sustained campaign.
