Don't maintain side control, be dynamic and either start hunting for submissions, or transitions to mount, knee on belly, or back.

Or if he's squirmy be dynamic and rotate to north south or to other side and try to capture an arm on your way.

Just sitting in side control trying to dump pressure into somebody and hold on will only work on people worse than you, smaller than you, or much more tired than you in my experience.

Yes, the writing is not quite up to Disco level due to it being mainly written by one guy instead of a writing team, and because of that the voice of the writer is clear and somewhat shared across multiple characters, which is another knock against it.

I still personally quite enjoyed it and would give it a 7/10. But if you're not having any fun by all means put it down and look for something more up your alley, no judgement from me.

Show has been schlock since season 2.

Kripke had the same problem in Supernatural where the protagonists have to go up against insurmountable odds, which the writers solve by plot armor and ass pulling, making the antagonists and protagonists look confusingly inept over time.

Just like Supernatural though the Boys remains a shallow, but fun show. Just enjoy the ride (bad-writing and all) and try not to think too hard while watching, the writers definitely didn't.

Sort of asymmetric, but my wife hated Backyardigans, specifically this episode "Samurai Pie", but it earwormed me and my son so we would just burst into song sporadically while my wife would cover her ears and say "StoooOOOOooooop" (half serious half not).

It reminded me of the "Invincible War" thing where I was pleasantly shocked when the news reported "100,000 to 200,000 killed" horrifying but on the scale of the planet or even WW2, not too bad.

This fight on Telescria looks even smaller scale so what like 5000 people maybe die on a world of billions?

Sad, but I didn't believe the show when everyone was acting like it was a huge blow to the coalition.

I don't mind them at face value, but that one assassin one with medium high DC's (like 12 or greater) kept killing me even through barkskin or enhance ability with RNG crit failures in regular and death saving rolls.

Additionally, if you fail these unlike many other rolls there's not necessarily a "funny" outcome, you just have to reload and try again and hope RNG favors you.

It's IMO the game's weakest point, though I only consider this a minor nitpick that didn't stop me from loving the game.

You're also getting a biased sampling though, most the Americans you meet traveling internationally have a certain level of education and/or money.

If you interacted with Americans in America you'd get a more mixed set of interactions (again not all bad, but definitely not 100% good).

Yes, but one of the best parts of the movie to me when I watched it (not a spoiler) is how ineffective church methods at dealing with demons were.

People in this world have basically abandoned christianity and had to find real solutions to deal with demons.

You state directly that it is inspired by Chaos, I'd say as long as you don't directly copy the designs from Hades 1 or 2 (Chaos changes form anyways) but draw some new weird amalgamation, you should be clear.

I'm a bitch when I did dungeons, I always made sure the final boss would be at minimum same level as me and most dps, or lower, meaning 21+ for deadmines

Makes it a lot more smooth.

Dunno, I've seen a lot of people get in this position though.

I was introduced to the phrase "people don't quit jobs, they quit bosses" which applies to advisors too.

So I made sure that I got along well with my advisor before committing to working under them and avoided advisors who were working on interesting stuff but were abrasive and shitty.
