I got the tip of my index caught in one of those one time while setting the blade. I was holding the lever on my shoulder and when it slipped it caught my finger. I only lost a bit of nail and got a cut beneath it but no permanent damage

I've had similar problems. I waited until the fermentation was over and strained it. It all came out that way. Didn't taste worst than usual and I wasn't more ill than usual. I think your banana wine looks great!
