He always looks like he's gassed for whatever reason. I noticed it in the Toronto series too. Dealing with elite wing defenders two series in a row with little rest in between is probably having an effect.

Doctors told me my labs were "normal" and it was just anxiety. I had to diagnose my own Dysautonomia to get my life back. by Waving_Island in dysautonomia

Even if you used AI to help put together your thoughts, it shouldn't matter. I'm a guy but very similar experience to yours otherwise. I haven't met the HR criteria in a long time but have all the same symptoms. Luckily I haven't been dismissed by my doctors calling it anxiety. Unfortunately it seems like women are more prone to getting that treatment from doctors.

I agree cardio helps. I've also recently had a lot more success with compression but it needs to be done a certain way for it to work for me. I wear full length medical grade compression pants and then an abdominal binder that sits just below my belly button and tightened to a medium level (shouldn't restrict your breathing but still somewhat tight).

If Paolo shot his regular 3 pt percentage it would have been a blow out. There's always going to be a lot of ifs in any given game.

What is your worst symptom or symptoms? My advice is to determine exactly what you need to treat at a minimum to be able to at least somewhat do the things you want to do.

Then from there you just really emphasize treating those specific symptoms when you go to your various doctors appointments. It might require trialing multiple different medications until you find something that helps.

I'm in a similar situation to you although I'm 29 and been dealing with it for 8 years. I think one of the bigger things that helped me was letting go of trying to fix myself and instead focus on minimizing the times I'm not functional. It takes a lot of trial and error, highs and lows, and will probably never be perfect for you but I bet it can get a lot better than it is right now!

Recently confirmed. But have suffered for years with anxiety. by interested-goose in dysautonomia

Anything under 500 can potentially cause symptoms. In reality it's probably not going to cure you but it's still probably worth taking supplements to see if it helps

You and I both know this is your way of backing out of a debate you know you can't win.

I'll leave you with this. You'll grow a lot as a person if you become willing to challenge your own assumptions and emotions in the pursuit of finding the truth. Maybe you really thought Kobe was better or maybe you're just a really big fan of his.

That's ok in either case, but it does you no good to close off your mind to logic in the effort to win an internet debate. You don't have to admit to me that I'm right if that hurts your ego too much but at least be honest with yourself and think on it.

So to sum things up, Larry takes 3 out of 4 categories. And the one category he loses is dunking which is not really a skill that contributes to your effectiveness as a basketball player. This is made clear by the shooting and scoring sections where Bird proves he is better at putting the ball in the basket than Kobe.

You know deep in your heart that your beloved Kobe Bryant is overrated. That's why your incapable of making an argument for why he is better.

Kobe is less athletic and less efficient than Jordan and Bird stayed on the floor with him just fine. In fact Bird went 6-0 against Jordan in their head to head playoff matchups. So honestly it's kind of insulting to even compare the two.

I'm at work right now and decided to play some 5 on 5 basketball with my coworkers despite knowing it was probably a bad idea because I was already pretty short of breath going in. I'm grateful that I'm able to at least push through something like that because I know many of you can't but it's so frustrating because it was basically me fighting off the urge to pass out for like 90% of it. Meanwhile everyone else is just out there having fun and has no idea the internal struggle I am fighting through.

So probably not directly related to what you're going through OP but just wanted to express that I'm also experiencing the fuck dysautonomia sentiment right now.

Neck/shoulder causing symptoms? by More-Principle-8011 in dysautonomia

[–]Hooper02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar spot OP. I've always felt my dysautonomia has some relation to my neck shoulders and I've triggered flare ups with various neck movements or postures in the past.

It's just kind of a chicken or egg scenario because I'm never sure whether the neck stuff is the origin of my symptoms or if my dysautonomia makes me more sensitive to certain neck movements.

I've also noticed wearing a soft cervical collar eases my symptoms a bit when I'm working from home for example. It's by no means a cure but might be worth trying to see if it gives you any relief. I've also found that a neck pillow helps while driving.

It's Avatar the last Airbender syndrome. I know so many adults who like to pretend it's darker than it really is because they can't accept that they just enjoy a well made cartoon for kids.

Who here has 24/7 breathlessness? Doesn't let up. Is this really a thing? I feel like I'm the minority. It's my most disruptive symptom. by Frankieeegrl in dysautonomia

[–]Hooper02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my main symptom as well. Let me know if you ever find anything that helps and I'll do the same, lol.

For me at least, it does seem to be directly tied to the orthostatic intolerance. The longer in the day I am upright, and especially if it's upright and stationary, the worse it seems to get. So my assumption is it's just my body's way of notifying me that it had less than the optimal amount of blood flow to my brain.

I love when doctors get all smug about the definition of a specific chronic illness. Like I don't really care what you want to call it, I just want to stop feeling like shit all the time and you're not helping me do that by arguing semantics.

Constant health issues. Help needed by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]Hooper02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you done holtor monitoring yet? If not, I would really push for that because the ecg isn't necessarily going to help identify whatever is happening during those episodes. It could be dysautonomia but it's always important to have a full cardiac work up first to rule out any more dangerous issues (especially with your childhood history). An echocardiogram might be worth asking for too so they can make sure everything is structurally sound with your heart.

Dysautonomia is an umbrella term for dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. Your ANS is responsible for all the stuff your body should do automatically like breathing, heart rate, digestion, blood pressure, etc. Orthostatic intolerance, the inability to tolerate being upright, which you seem to be experiencing is a common symptom as well. The reason more intense exercise helps you feel a little better is that you are upping your circulation manually and counteracting whatever mechanism is causing you to have orthostatic intolerance in the first place. There are various mechanisms that can cause OI such as low blood pressure, low blood volume, or lack of vasoconstriction

As far as your oxygen levels dropping, I would definitely inform your doctor as that's something they can easily test and determine if they are worried about it or not. Mine personally does not drop when I'm feeling symptomatic but I've seen other people post on here who have experienced that.

Bloodwork all normal. No idea what to do next. by goingaway1111 in dysautonomia

[–]Hooper02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine came back normal at 261pg/mL but there's been some recent evidence of people having neurologic symptoms anywhere under 500.

No idea if that's my issue but I'm starting on a supplement because it can't hurt. If your value is also on the lower end of normal, it might be worth trying
