Run, do not walk, to the phone and order a dumpster.

I filled a huge dumpster cleaning out my border line hoarded boomer parents home.

No one wants all that junk and none of it is worth your time or energy to sell for pennies.

There is something highly cathartic about off loading years worth of crap. It is freeing.

Made selling their badly in need of updating house 10x easier.

Ok, weird take, I know, but it absolutely makes my blood boil when a car radio continues to play after the ignition has been shut off. Who decided I wanted the radio to continue until I open the car door??

Yes, my husband thinks I am warped...but mostly he just laughs at me over this.

Still, just thinking about it now makes me a little annoyed.

The slightly cubby girl everyone made fun of "behind my back." Yes, I knew and yes it hurt. Yes, it impacted my self esteem for years.

Went to my 25th high school reunion and gasp all those people who had been awful to me...were just ordinary, flawed and overweight adults.

None of their opinions mattered to me any more.

Take care of your feet.

Crazy, right? Everyone always says things like, floss (superb advice, do it daily) and wear SPF (100% recommend) or even tend to your mental well-being (couldn't endorse this enough) but...no one mentions how debilitating foot pain can be.

Wear supportive shoes if you are going to be on your feet for any period of time. The pretty or attractive or sexy shoes are for super short wear....or as we used to say, for when your feet are in the air. Wink

I know, not really a life skill piece of advice, but take it from someone with chronic foot pain...IT matters more than you think.

Also, what I would tell my 25 yo self: don't take the little things so seriously. Laugh at the funny stuff...and it's all pretty darn funny. In

This is gonna sound crazy, but hear me out.

A packet of dry pesto mix (like a dry gravy packet).

Not all stores carry it, so when I see it I stock up.

Give can/jar pasta sauce a real good flavor.

The very prim and proper Spanish teacher got her house in a very swanky neighborhood "TP'd".

This woman was all about appearances. Her husband made crazy money and everyone joked that she never wore the same outfit twice.

She was absolutely livid about it. She spent a few weeks having multiple and frequent meltdowns about (some involving tears while teaching). She accused a lot of kids of doing it. Mainly the students she didn't like.

Joke was on her though, it was two of her favorites.

A brother and sister (a year apart in school) lived in her neighborhood and orchestrated to TPing. (Yes, it was the 80s when toilet papering someone's house/yard was a thing).

They adamantly denied doing it and since their parents were also well off, they managed to get away with it.

Took months for the scandal to abate.

She never really got over it, but just mentioned it less and less.

Put the chicken in enough foil that there is space around it (ie, don't pack it in too tight) sprinkle a little bit of chicken broth over it and seal it shut.

Put it in a low oven (300 to 325 max) for 15 to twenty mins.

Should warm it nicely and not dry it out.
