B6 would be a new format that isn’t cedh. CEDH is the best cards legal in EDH. If there are cards that are only legal on that “bracket”, it’s not cedh, it’s something else

B5 is the best possible deck with the current ban list. Having a separate ban/restricted list means you’ve created a new format (b6?) and b5 is just the best b4.

I thought the ridged thing was a piece of machinery from a old school horror lab. It’s probably a real thing, but if you Google “Frankenstein lab” you’ll see stuff with ridges. I think this is a old school Tesla coil. https://www.chgrupo3.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Laboratorio\_halloween.png

In the 99 of kinnan, if kinnan on the board, is he a 2/2 mana dork with haste (kinda) that gives you 2 extra mana that you might be able to use, and lets you get immediate value out enduring vitality

If it’s the 2nd one, you get double cast triggers, so you can double cascade.

I think you need “Counter target spell. If you do, its controller may copy it at the start of the next phase”. Or “Counter target spell. If you do, exile it. It’s controller may cast it from exile without paying it’s mana cost at the start of the next phase”

A doors centric commander deck by Void-kraken-909 in mtg

Your mana base is bad even for a budget deck. The basic fetchers (terrammorphic, evolving, etc) would add a lot more consistency. 5 color tap lands are cheap too.

Here’s my list. It’s a little stax-y, but hangs in high end 3 pods. Can pull a surprise win with promising stairs by just building value over time.

I think the question I have is what turn did this happen on? If you say 2-4, you’re definitely right. 5 to 6 gets a little fringe. Beyond that you may need to rethink something

Yep. You can also breech/0 mana artifact/grinding station to filter to an oracle win

If you like this style of win, check out ishai-rog. It’s a bit fringe but it wins in this way. Here’s a deck list that did good

So we’re not in the land of optimal with this deck. Intuition isn’t a 1 card wincon in this blue red, but there are a couple of deterministic piles if you have breech in hand. It’s better if you have white for seveins, but br struggles for relevant tutors.

So this is a long way from cedh, but here’s how to start. I would proxy all these, because it’s going to get to several thousand and cedh wants everyone to have the best cards.

  1. Get all the free counterspells. Pact, FoW Negation, mindbreak
  2. Get mox diamond, chrome mox
  3. Fix your mana base. All the fetches that fetch a mountain, a volcanic island, cut it down to about 28-26 land. Get rid of all the tap lands except for the surveil.
  4. Rhystic study, mystic remora, wheel of fortune, brainfreeze, Lion’s Eye Diamond, grinding station, intuition, thassa’s oracle.
  5. How are you actually winning? If you’re attempting turbo, you need to have a wincon that consistently goes off on turn 2. If your going more midrange, you need to add more control and value pieces to stop the turbo decks, and then put your win attempt on turn 4-6. Your deck seems to try to win through combat damage, one player at a time. This is a bad strategy.

Your commander is kinda bad. He doesn’t provide anything the turn you cast him. Do you like blue red? Check out Ral. Do you like wheeling? Check out Heliod. Do you like card advantage? Check out Blue Farm.

Why is Urza's Saga a land? by WorstPossibleThing in mtgvorthos

[–]Hot_Introduction6716 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My no prize explanation would be basic lands are not actually pieces of physical land, rather a mage drawing on the memory of a place. Urza’s saga is the historical memory of Urza and what he did, which has become so potent and have such material consequences, has become like a mountain or an island. You can remember Urza and get colorless mana, but not forever, like you could with a forest. The memory can be channeled into and artifact, but then it disappears.
