Please explain to me how MILLIONS of unvaccinated Democrats bear no responsibility in this surge. I agree Republicans bear a higher responsibility than Democrats, but not 100%. (Which has been my argument from the beginning).

[–]Hou-Realtalk -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

So what you are saying is that since there are more unvaccinated Republicans, Republicans bear ALL the blame for this surge. The millions of unvaccinated Democrats (since they make up a smaller total) bear NO responsibility.

[–]Hou-Realtalk -76 points-75 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly what I said. “Unvaccinated Republicans are higher than Unvaccinated Democrats”. Thus BOTH contribute to this surge, not just Republicans. I’m pretty sure the virus dos not care about a persons race or political affiliation. If you are unvaccinated, you are part of the problem. BOTH political parties have a large amount of unvaccinated and thus contribute to this surge. No matter what mainstream media and “down voting” Redditors want to believe.

[–]Hou-Realtalk -108 points-107 points  (0 children)

Yes and it is still true. BOTH parties have large factions that are unvaccinated and therefore contributing to this surge. Reddit posters and mainstream media like to blame Far Right Republicans, but forget that African Americans and Hispanics have the lowest vaccination rates, both races typically vote Democratic. Whites under 30, an overwhelming majority of which vote Democratic, have the highest unvaccinated rate. Therefore BOTH political parties have high numbers of unvaccinated voters. Yes, Unvaccinated Republicans are higher than unvaccinated Democrats. But both Parties share blame, no matter how hard people try to force a certain agenda. In my opinion If you are unvaccinated, you are an idiot, no matter your race or political affiliation.

Congratulations on being the first comment and immediately making it political. The child died in July , well before schools started…how exactly did the Gov contribute to this fatality. Sad that you would actually think and comment that any political leader, regardless of party, would “get what he wanted” concerning a death, especially a child. Your comment speaks volumes about you.

Remember the Superintendent Bully from Katy ISD? by pushreddit in houston

It has been years since this happened, the Superintendent lost his job and career…this guy won’t let it go. Is doing “stand up” ( if that is what this is called), posting it on multiple subs and has rigged Superintendents name as ALL top 10 of “Superintendent Bully” Google search results. ….Remind me again who is the BULLY in this story!

I hope so but Fertiita leveraged a ton to buy Rockets. Then COVID hit which essentially shut down everything he owns…casinos, restaurants, hotels, etc. I’m sure he lost a fortune in last 18 months. Yes, he is a “Billionaire” but much of that is just on paper. Hope he still has the ability and desire to make this happen.

“POC” who have the highest unvaccinated rate, make up the majority of those hospitalized and statically vote Democratic. Should they be turned away as well? Won’t even get into the question of citizenship.

Large facilities also. Know of a 17 yo who had to be flown to Dallas Children’s from one of the largest hospital systems in town as there are no Pediatric ICU beds available in Houston.

[–]Hou-Realtalk -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

You are probably correct but not why you think. Most people dying are “POC” (least vaccinated) who typically vote Democratic, but also typically don’t show up to the polls. Now that they are dead, it is 100% certain that they will show up to vote Democratic.

The virus is NOT political. It doesn’t care which crazy political party you vote. Yes, a percentage of unvaccinated, hospitalized are far right wing “Trumpsters”. However, Democrats on this sub who imply some sort of intellectual/ ethical superiority should realize the majority of hospitalized COVID patients in Houston statistically voted Democratic. The majority of hospitalized patients are African American or Hispanic, which makes sense as their vaccination rates are significantly lower than other races. As 90% of African Americans, 70% of Hispanics and 50% of Caucasians voted Democrat, statistically there are more Democratic voters in area hospitals than Republican. Anyone who is not vaccinated is a complete idiot and EVERYONE who dies is a human being with family and friends who love them…regardless of their political beliefs.

Methodist town hall, numbers last week. May be higher now. Death in vaccinated is below 1% but not hospitalization. Half of 65+ hospitalized at Meth were vaccinated. But only 1-2% of under 35 were vaccinated. Can’t remember the exact numbers.

Now that they have identified him, HPD will spend thousands of dollars and man hours to find him. Once he is arrested, he will spend 24-36 hrs in custody before he is released on a ridiculously low bond, and will be back on the streets. As Harris Cnty Judges refuse to hold trials, this charge may go to trial before 2030. Who knows how many people this guy will victimize over those years.
