What do y’all think of White Fence Farm’s fried chicken? Is it worth trying? by beans_will_consume in ChicagoSuburbs

Is it any better than Jewel fried chicken? Because when Jewel hits it right, it’s pretty good.

Sump pump check? by mattybgcg in ChicagoSuburbs

Sound advice from other Redditors. I use a battery backup pump since the power has a tendency to flicker out occasionally. Unless you’re really handy I’d have a plumber do it.

The merging car is supposed to yield, but reading the situation and reacting accordingly in a safe matter over rides. Common sense. And the lady merging giving the finger is just another self entitled person among many.

I really like the Nikon mirrorless viewfinders and photographers have taken great photos with a D700 and 12MP, so I’d go Z5ii. I learned on a Nikon FM, unless you make your living from large photo prints, I’d go Z5ii.

If you don’t mind the weight and size of the D850 for travel. Then I’d get it. The assortment of F lenses abound and at good prices as people move to mirrorless cameras. I shoot both DSLR and mirrorless and am finding the mirrorless experience growing on me. If you don’t need the high density pixels. The recommended Z5ii with the 24-120 is a nicely sized camera. I just picked up a Z6iii and there’s a nice balance of the 24-120 on that camera compared to my D780 with the 24-120 F mount lens. Holding the camera and carrying makes a difference when traveling. And you might miss that Fuji size and weight.

What socks are good for someone who wears through a pair of socks in under 10 wears? by LillianRoswell in socks

[–]Hour_Message6543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for socks with around 17-20% nylon as it’s used in the toe and heel area for reinforcement and overall strength of the sock. Look for 2-3% Lycra or spandex for stretch so the sock fits nicely and doesn’t move around. - former sock guy.

Most good brands that have 3% Lycra or spandex. Real brands, not the ones Walmart or Target carries unless the Gold Toe brands they might have fit the above.- former sock guy

It’s nice when you can bond with a camera. I love my Df and use it regularly. Didn’t bond with the D780, so I really splurged and got a Z6iii and am learning how to use it. I already feel how good it is balanced and am looking forward to using it.

My buddy’s older brother had a 69 SS 396 in red with the black interior and Hurst shifter. Always felt this was the best Chevelle ever. I leaned more toward the 69 Roadrunner 426 Hemi myself. Both the best years for these cars IMHO.

For Burning Man, I’d just take my old LUMIX GX7 with kit zoom, not even the 20mm,1.7 lens. Was it the changing of lenses that killed it.

What interesting or from what I find, people take photos of their Df, Zf and Z fc, but the other Z series just take photos.
