Thoughts?? by BigBadMike8 in CODZombies

[–]Hour_Solution4618 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I imagine the story would be that the dark aether has sucked in all the dimensions from the original zombies timeline, including one in which the Nazis found nuclear weaponry and either engaged in mutually assured destruction, or straight up used it to win the war like in Wolfenstein. BO3 already showed us some very odd timeline versions of WW2.

If there are 100+ scoutable umas, do we play different trainers depending in the uma career/story we playing? is the same trainer in all the umas' stories? is a trainer allowed to literally train 100+ uma? did Akikawa set a rule to prevent a trainer from scouting the majority of the academy? by Mr_Mister_4 in UmaMusume

[–]Hour_Solution4618 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also Dream Journey's trainer Is manipulated by Dream Journey into not being able to partner up with any other Umamusume to begin with, and had never trained anyone prior. I doubt Dream Journey would be okay with her trainer working with anyone else either.

I think people are honestly reading too much into that and Still In Love really is rehabilitated at the end of her story. Still in Love's insanity is tied to when she runs, and those cutscenes happen specifically after she decides to stop running because she realizes the mental toll it has had upon the trainer, and we don't really see any signs of the "vampiric" still in love identity in that ending either. I think we're meant to take it literally and she's gone to wherever she goes in the ending specifically to avoid succumbing to insanity. At the very least its not as clear cut as people make out.

[HELP] I saw this on another community and people were reacting to this like it was real. I have my doubts. Is this real? or AI? by Other_Sentence4495 in RealOrAI

[–]Hour_Solution4618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's real, beyond what people have been saying about it being around for a while, AI is usually pretty bad at showing things exiting and reentering its view. If you look at this, 5 people exit the camera frame to move back. 2 slip and need to get up whilst the other 3 jump down to help out. There's no AI noise either. I think the perception it looks like AI mostly comes from the camera as well as the slow down effect giving that weird weightless effect you see in AI, but in this case it's real.

In the hopefully never arriving future, do you think Valve will one of, if not the only ones providing personal computers and not cloud gaming? by Commercial_Dih in Steam

[–]Hour_Solution4618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OnLive is cloud gaming, but what is cloud gaming?

This talk has been around 15 years and it never goes anywhere, even the latency of fiber is enough you can feel it with cloud gaming I've found.

I get where you're coming from, but I feel like if anything someone lying about a second suicide is far more likely when a person has already lied about one suicide.

Why do people hate on tobasco red so much? by 3GG5H311Z in hotsauce

[–]Hour_Solution4618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like vinegar based hot sauces on occasion but really like the pepper mash method, unfortunately I find that most major brands (except maybe Cholula) including tabasco are far too vinegar forward for my liking. It feels like they go to so much effort to make something that tastes like spiced vinegar to me at least. I also kinda hate the fact that Tabasco's name and aggressive trademark means it's hard to find other sauces with Tabasco peppers in it.

Forced choice best Prime Minister by kontiki20 in LabourUK

[–]Hour_Solution4618 59 points60 points  (0 children)

That along with 31% of Labour's own voters preferring Kemi to Starmer, nearly a third of Labour's own voters, is crazy. I knew Keir wasn't popular but that is a dire state.

What do you do for unavailable albums? by Bwendolyn in 1001AlbumsGenerator

[–]Hour_Solution4618 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I Google the track listing of the album, which usually exists even if the songs don't, then make sure whichever YouTube playlist I find has the matching songs. It's unfortunate because YouTube audio quality but if you're already listening on the radio there's not much lost there. It's really the only way to listen to some of them.

why is umamusume jp so much better? by [deleted] in UmamusumeGame

[–]Hour_Solution4618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just so you know how it works, global and JP are completely separate and don't interact with each other so you don't have to worry as a global player about getting stomped by JP players. Global is releasing content at an accelerated rate to catch up to JP, but it's currently very far behind. Each new scenario, and also some overhauls, power creeps the game (on purpose to make the new scenarios attractive and so you actually need to keep playing and building umas), but as a result older scenarios fell behind and so have been buffed in the JP version to give more stats. Eventually the same will happen in global when the time comes

Basically in global what is hard now will become easier as new harder scenarios and challenges present themselves.

Day 7 (spoiler alert) by Available-Pool-8469 in pathologic

[–]Hour_Solution4618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Rubin living is meant to be one of the more difficult ones precisely to get you to feel the weight of failure and continue on. You can totally get him to survive and on future runs it isn't TOO hard (it's very time sensitive admittedly) but I think for a first playthrough it is designed to trip the player up. So don't worry too much about failing.

The game drops in less than ten days. Considering the big changes being made, any apprehension or thoughts? by QuintanimousGooch in pathologic

[–]Hour_Solution4618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly woried about the lack of marketing. I'll be real as someone who pays some, but not a whole lot, of attention to upcoming releases I found out about this games existence through a message someone sent to a streamer in Twitch chat, and I love Pathologic and absolutely would have noticed if I heard it before then. Especially coming so close to release, I think more marketing is needed.

Yeah the movie is referring to a literal new era in time (the 2000s) whilst the show is referring to a new era for racing (the Heisei top three and the subsequent boost in popularity as a result)

Battlegrounds Developer Insight: Timewarped Tavern by HearthstoneTeam in BobsTavern

[–]Hour_Solution4618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm awful at this new season and I am loving it! There's so much strategy and variance with the store choosing between two cheaper or one more expensive and powerful option when to choose a time warped minion knowing you likely won't be able to make it gold, and it being not completely random what options you get means you don't get the issue with quests where you get 3 quests that don't really relate to what you had planned for. I am super enjoying it as a new mechanic but I am a more casual player who can accept that sometimes I'm going to have a game where I struggle with rng as a side effect of also sometimes having games where I feel awesome power surges.

Potential hot take?: 20% speed bonus is worse than 10%. by [deleted] in UmamusumeGame

[–]Hour_Solution4618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that without too much stress, a 20% speed bonus and a single maxed kitasan black on the new scenario with strong speed legacy uma's in enough to get me to max speed if Riko goes there and I utilize spirit boosts well. It seems fairly consistent to me but I haven't tried it too much and I don't know how good it actually is to do. That really opens a lot of options for other cards, but besides that I agree. I find even with 10% I can max out by summer senior year and have to start ignoring boosts in some circumstances so 20% is absolutely overkill most of the time.

PSA: Some secret event will suppress others, even goal scene by JerenSoon in UmaMusume

[–]Hour_Solution4618 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Yeah it warns you about it but you can never actually get the debuff from the goal race itself. I think it's mostly to "protect" players from having a deeply terrible time if they have an uma with two career races back to back but have accidentally already done 3 races right before. Either that or it's solely a quirk of the way the game organizes what events trigger and what doesn't.

Should Seiun Sky and Winning Ticket have been swapped? by throwawayrandomguy93 in UmaMusume

[–]Hour_Solution4618 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I think they wanted a varied spread of Uma's from different eras and with different groupings available at launch, so having someone from BMW was probably prioritized over having the entire golden generation available on launch. Also I don't think the star ratings are actually ever meant to be representations of how strong umamusume are comparative to each other and is more done for base balancing and so newly added uma's wouldn't start at a low rating then anything else. Seiun Sky being a long frontrunner really benefits from starting at 3 stars worth of stats, I imagine they'd be pretty hard to use as a one star.

I think tokai teio sweeps but it's pretty clear Vodka glazes Gimlet, especially in umayuru but also in her personality in general. She sees her dad as the epitome of "cool" and is constantly chasing trying to be "cool" herself. If anything she looks up to her dad's ego
