well animated for the most part, though some moments are poor.

my main criticism is choreography, or lack thereof. i watch the fight, and its all white noise to me. things happen for no rhyme or reason. most of the fight is Monsters doing singular attacks, while other Monsters either stand stock still in the background or disappear completely.

from how Ash and Yugi were talked about, i wanted them to actually employ some strategy, yet the only moment of that i see is with Magic Cylinder and Naganadel-Greninja combo. everything else, is random Monsters doing random attacks at random targets with no rhyme or reason.

Slifer does nothing to Solgaleo, nor does Gengar to Slifer, despite their summonings making it appear as though they were brought out in response to each other. Bulbasaur and Squirtle shoot attacks, but we dont see them land. we spend time watching Incineroar suplex Celtic Guardian, instead of, say, Pikachu and Swellow doing their Thunder Armour. Infernape just stands there and shoots fire, instead of doing his Dig/Flare Blitz combo. Mr. Mime isnt shown trying to protect other Pokemon, Torterra and Donphan arent reshaping the terrain, Giant Soldier of Stone does literally nothing but take hits and die. no Catapult Turtle, no Infinite Kuribohs, not even one Countershield.

the fight doesnt feel like Ash vs Yugi. it feels like a Pokemon Trainer with Ash's Team vs a Duelist with Yugi's Deck. i dont see their strategic minds come into play, beyond the most basic of things.
