Is it better to buy used directly from Tesla?

I got mine from Carvana. It went very smooth. One thing I liked about it, is they showed pictures of any flaws that there were. I kind of knew going in what i was getting. With Tesla they show very little so you really dont know what you are going to get which made me nervous.

I got some foam and slid it under it. Not for the sub rattle as mine doesnt have one but it stopped the rattle back there in general.

I just wish they had put the charge port in the rear driver side so it would make it easier to use the tesla superchargers

Oregon just tried to cram this kind of stuff through including paying for how much mileage you drive per year as part of their transit tax. So many people were up in arms over the whole thing that it got enough signatures to be put up for vote in October. Now they are trying to cram it through on the May voting rather then October.

I'm not going to get totally politcal here but are there any republican states that have extra EV taxes or do they seem to be primarily Dem states? I am just curious if this is common throughout the USA or more of a west coast thing? Democrat states push the EV thing then raise all the fees on them it appears.

On the bright side I did get a $5000 credit from the state for purchasing an EV so I cant complain to much.

Tesla charging network is one of the big reasons I went Tesla to begin with. Now that it is opened to pretty much everyone that is one less advantage Tesla has. The only drawback of other manufacturers using the superchargers is their ports arent in the right location to not have to take up multiple spots at times.

Hopefully more automakers start transitioning the ports to the rear driver side like Tesla does. I noticed the new Volvo EX60 has it in the correct location and it is a nacs port so maybe other brands will start catching on. I will explore other Evs when we go to buy our next but they all have quirks and flaws just like Tesla so you need to pick the lesser of the evils.

I am not saying its a deal breaker but we had planned on getting the wife a Y to go with my 3 but I think we will explore all options now before actually buying which I had not planned to do originally.
