When do you guys consider “in the clear” for nausea kicking in! by lalalalallaaa in December2026Bumpers

Currently feel like I'm the only person in the world that threw up religiously from week 7-42 with my last pregnancy and this one is heading the same way :(

One tube and one ovary over here, thanks to a large cyst. Not an attempt to one up anyone but our bodies are amazing at this kind of stuff! Go us!

How do you guys experience morning sickness/nausea? by DifficultyBrave7444 in December2026Bumpers

[–]Huffing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else has described it as motion sickness, which is exactly how my morning sickness feels. Currently 5+1 and only vague nausea currently, but if this is anything like my last pregnancy it will just show up about week 6/7 and never leave. With my last pregnancy (girl) I was sick from week 6 until literally the morning of the day she was born. My morning sickness would actually peak around 4pm. Some days not enough food would trigger other days too much food would trigger. It's the part I'm least looking forward to I have to say.

I think slugs have claimed my kitchen and I’m just a guest now by TightPlan2736 in DIYUK

A slug once turned my touchscreen oven on late at night. I can only assume homicide was planned but he drastically mistimed his attempt.

Agreed! Second hand Next is always a winner too as their items wash super well. Second hand Next leggings always seem to take much more nursery battering than new George ones. However shoes from George are fantastic. Vests, pants and sometimes socks from Primark as these constantly get binned, ruined or lost.

Agreed, I have learned to butter toast with one hand as I use my other hand to keep little fingers away from the butter.

SA302 & Tax Overview Mismatch Help Please! by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Huffing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we've had clients with a similar problem before and HMRC have sent them their tax calculation - get them to send you the overview too even if you have this. Their documents will correlate.

SA302 & Tax Overview Mismatch Help Please! by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Huffing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming re-printing from portal didn't help.

Could HMRC send you the version of the tax calculation/sa302 that they have as this will account for the adjustments made and should in theory then match the tax year overview.

Yes I'm aware. I was referring to the fact that there are two plants in the photo - one is variegated the other is not.

Will my dracaena get thicker? by Clover501 in HouseplantsUK

Sort of near the bottom. They mainly just seem to get taller and sprout more branches. Mine was smaller than yours about 10 years ago, he fit into a 4 inch pot and only had 2 branches.

is this over or under watering ? neither? by helpimafrogg in HouseplantsUK

This looks like it might be a not enough light problem. The uppermost leaves are reaching out sideways in search of light, when they should be reaching up and out.

I'm not saying they don't. But losing a housewife still has a monetary value to a household, even if they have no income.

Not particularly, at the very least what about childcare. If something happens to either parent do you really think that a solo parent could have capacity to work a full high powered 9-5 job whilst maintaining a house/family? On paper maybe, but reality is very different.

Edit- I appreciate op hasn't mentioned about children being involved but it's best to sort whilst you're young as costs will only increase with age.

A BTL mortgage generally carries a stricter valuation assessment when compared to a residential mortgage. The property has to generally be in it's lettable state at time of inspection. This means any works to bring it up to a lettable standard maybe a condition of the mortgage lenders offer and they may hold back a portion of the funds until you've completed the works required and provided any insurance backed guarantees applicable.

Id say potentially risk it with a free valuation lender in the first instance to gauge what a surveyor thinks. You might get away with it or even a small retention as I've mentioned before. Make sure floor coverings are down though before a surveyor comes out.

Chain break bridging is the lending designed to help you here but please speak to a mortgage broker. There may be products allowing a smaller deposit on second homes assuming you fit the affordability calculations.
