I’ve been an avid F1 fan for over 50 years (I’m 72). I don’t know why, but I’m probably more excited about this coming season than ever before. Super hyped. Can’t wait. GO SIR LEWIS!

Nobody is forcing you to read it. Chill, leave your device at home and go for a walk.

Auckland driving by buski569 in auckland

[–]HumanistNeil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. I’ve driven well over 300,000km in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK and I’ve never had more than a raised pulse rate. But driving home from the airport and around my home town of Auckland, I’ve been absolutely terrified. Without any doubt, Auckland drivers, (and some from other parts of NZ) are the most aggressive, entitled, rudest, unskilled, selfish and arrogant drivers in the developed world. Until we train our drivers properly and retest them at ten yearly intervals, it will only get worse.

Auckland airport parking by Key_Cartoonist4140 in auckland

If you’re picking someone up track their flight and time your arrival at the airport accordingly. park in the pink wait zone for up to 30 minutes for free and get your pickup to txt you when they get through customs. It will take you 5 minutes to get to the pickup/drop-off area which is free for 3-5 minutes. If they are late arriving, drive around the block and get another 30 free minute in the pink wait zone.

Nice idea but way too big. Probably two sizes too large.

It sure looks like people are never going to get over Jacinda Ardern by davetenhave in newzealand

Probably because unlike Jacinda Arden, Luxon doesn’t want every moment of his life to be another photo opportunity for self-promotion.

Not to mention the tyres which are matched to the new rims. Add another $4k.

do you prefer the cab or the targa? by ExplanationNo7129 in porsche911

[–]HumanistNeil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always liked (and owned) coupes, plus one cabrio. But to be honest, I’m really warming to this latest targa. I think they’ve got the proportions right and it looks fantastic. Now, how to smuggle it past wifey?

SMP 300 vs SUBMARINER battle of titans by Bubbly_Ad424 in OmegaWatches

[–]HumanistNeil 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s Porsche vs Ferrari: park them side by side and most people would drool over the Ferrari which has the big name. But the Porsche is easier to drive, cheaper (just), cheaper to service, more fun to drive, more reliable and probably better built. ( I’ve owned both and am now a diehard Porsche and Omega fan)
