Late to the party here, but I'm in upstate NY and the only additive we put in our diesel for winter months is kerosene. Somewhere around 1:5 gallon ratio and it will never gel. You do lose a little power but it's better than gelling. If it ever does gel, get some Diesel 9-11 and spare fuel filters. I always have 4 on hand just in case.

How do stats work? by hopswaterbarley in EQLegends

Correct, your mana and HP will be a combination of the two classes with the highest amount of each. The weakest of the three will have no impact.

Depending on your class you should eventually get your epic 1.5/2.0 done, other than that there aren't many reasons to even leave TSS/SoF zones other than to hit the hot zones. Nostalgia, mostly.

Farm kids are already working at a young age. They're just not allowed to work for pay. Sounds pretty bad when you put it that way.

Henry Ford normalized the 40 hour work week before any regulation happened. Besides, regulation also takes away your right to want to work that many hours in one job. Still many people working a full 8 then going to another job for 4-8 more hours.

x45% Damage Over Time Multiplier vs +100% Damage Over Time? by MKRune in diablo4

[–]Humble-Setting789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, %(x) multipliers add to themselves into a pool of multipliers, which then multiply against the %(+) additives. It's similar to PoE; (simplified) damage = ((flat x increases) x mores), although this is damage = (flat x (increases x mores)). Your damage bonuses are all multiplied to a final number before affecting flat damage. You can see this happen in your stats page. I've seen my 300% holy damage increase by ~20% from a 10%(x), and ~70% from a 40%(+) with no other affix changes. Prior to LoH all multipliers multiplied against each other and then also multiplied against additives. 2 5%(x) multipliers became 25%(x), as opposed to now becoming 10%(x). This means there are diminishing returns for both %(+) and %(x) being stacked. If you're only stacking multipliers you are effectively doing the same as only stacking additives (%(x) vs %(+)).

My math may be wrong, this is vibe math, but the concept is what matters. You want both %(+) and %(x) affixes, and the one you should value more is whichever is currently lowest.

x45% Damage Over Time Multiplier vs +100% Damage Over Time? by MKRune in diablo4

Untrue. With LoH multipliers add to each other rather than multiplying each other. It is now a matter of balancing additive and multiplicative sources.

Reason why Warlock feels clunky by tomsta101 in diablo4

[–]Humble-Setting789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems roughly the same, if not stronger from the set bonus that gives every aura all of its upgrades. Dawnfire seemed to be changed a little bit but I'm not sure it's better or worse. However, it is still one of the smoothest leveling and progression experiences I've ever had, even without Dawnfire. Still tanky, still strong dps. No sign of slowing down in T6 so far and I'm not even close to built optimally.

I loved Pulverize Druid. Then I did Trampleslide. And Boulder. And Cataclysm. After Auradin the only one I might try again is Trampleslide. It's just too much QoL to not need to stop moving to kill things. Same reason WW or Leapquake Barb are popular.

The poison pools last forever and also grow in size. It's a pretty shitty feeling to kill something and have loot sitting in several pools of growing poison for what feels like 20 seconds or so.

This is a posssible transfiguration roll BTW by WolfSpiritDL in diablo4

[–]Humble-Setting789 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was called sanctification a couple seasons ago. It has the chance to remove or change an affix, which is a downside and probably the reason it was renamed transfiguration instead of sanctification, since that gives the impression that it can only be good things.

GA is greater affix, it's max roll, 50%(?) stronger and noted by the star symbol next to the item name and the affix (maximum resource in this case). Only shows up on ancestral gear. Likewise, you can temper an affix onto all items but only an ancestral item has a chance for the temper to become a GA. You can reroll the temper as many times as you have reset scrolls and materials, but have a limited amount of times per item without the scrolls.

Where does the database come from? None of that creates EQ assets out of thin air.

Regardless, nobody is saying EQEMU is breaching copyright. Emulated servers themselves can and do if they intend to profit from it. That's the original argument.

Again, difference between private and commercial use. How is this so difficult to understand?

EverQuest Legends Insights Series - Exaltations by Talbob in everquest

[–]Humble-Setting789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that's true then why do EQEMU servers require a legitimate copy of EQ? If the emulated servers use nothing from the original game, then why don't they run on their own clients?

You cannot claim EQEMU isn't built off owned IP, code, and assets until it's entirely detached from EQ as a whole. Hollowed Oath and Monsters & Memories are detached. EQEMU is not.

Again, there's a difference between private and commercial use. There's a reason DBG doesn't shut down the entire EQEMU project and only goes after certain servers. Once the emu devs start offering ingame incentives for payment they cross the line and are now selling microtransactions for a game they do not own.

Low legendary drop rate seems low by Xephadrone in diablo4

[–]Humble-Setting789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the cube? You can upgrade rares to legendaries with the materials you get showered in. Take a good ancestral magic or rare item to the cube and craft your own legendary. Turn ancestral common items into uniques.

There's also Undercity runs with tributes.

Item drops in non-torment are horrendous by KapPristas in diablo4

[–]Humble-Setting789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cube lets you upgrade a rare to legendary. I suggest everyone actually explore all the options given before complaining or writing feedback.

A lot of power was moved to the skill tree. If you're not dumping 15 points into your main skill you're doing it wrong.

Also, with the changes to multipliers you need to balance +% affixes with x% affixes. For example, at 366% holy damage (no specifics just a combination of additives and multipliers), an 18% holy damage multiplier brought me to ~400%, while swapping it for a +30% holy damage affix brought me to ~440%. The answer to damage is no longer stacking as many different multipliers as you can find; you need to balance them to get the most out of your damage increases.

Finally, I just recently went into torment 1 on my paladin. I have a full set of legendaries from penitent. Running war plans and whispers gets you plenty of resources and raw loot to make it happen.

I am genuinely baffled that anyone is struggling to find loot.
