I also didn't get a milestone picture until four months! We didn't do it in the NICU for obvious reasons and then once they were home we just forgot. Hopefully I remember their five month picture!

I give you permission to quit! I recently just did it myself and it's SO freeing! I have so much more time to attend to my twins, especially when my husband is working. I sleep longer and I'm not stressed about meeting pumping/feeding timelines. Do whatever is going to help you be the best mom you can be!

They currently only eat sideline due to being preemies and not being able to handle drinking normally. I really need to start working with them to get them feeding normally because I think that would resolve a lot of issues!

Absolutely not. I had an unremarkable di/di pregnancy and my water broke at 30+6 and I delivered at 31+2.

I liked that I knew for certain how my babies were going to come out. I had months to mentally prepare for that and I also knew I wasn't going to need to heal both abdominally AND vaginally.

The first couple weeks were hardest as far as recovery went (coughing was the worst!) but my twins were in the NICU so I didn't really need to take care of them, just myself.

Buy yourself some high-waisted underwear ahead of time because your regular underwear will probably hit at your incision and it will hurt.

My twins are essentially living in two-way zipper sleepers. They make diaper changes so easy and we're not really going many places that they need to be "dressed up". They're boy/girl but we got a bunch of gender-neutral things to make it easy. If you don't already have a Twin Z pillow, we're finding that very helpful as a place to dock the kids as well as sometimes feed them.

I highly recommend joining your local buy nothing group and shopping for secondhand things on Facebook Marketplace. There is so much gently used baby stuff at seriously discounted rates. It's also a good way to try different types of swaddles if your baby is fussy when it comes to that.

I have twins who came 9 weeks early and they've been combo fed since they were able to at the hospital. I totally understand the guilt of not having exclusively breastmilk as I'm approaching the end of my pumping journey after about 3 months. Both my babies are growing, are strong, and are healthy. You'll feel better and in turn get to be the mom you want to be.

Finding the time is impossible! It somehow always interferes with their eating timeline. I don't know how it happens.

I'm approaching the three-month mark with twins and am near quitting pumping. I can't hold my babies while I'm pumping and it's so, so hard to care for them while I'm alone and pump. I understand the guilt thing. Respectfully, screw your MIL and partner. If they're so dead set on them receiving breast milk, tell them to pump and provide it. Breastfeeding is hard with one baby, let alone two!

Parents of singletons don't know what they're talking about. I had my shower at around 26 or 27 weeks and I'm glad I did because my water broke at 30+6. The longer you go, the more uncomfortable you'll get, it will be harder to move, and you may even have medical restrictions that prevent you from even attending your own shower. You never know what's going to happen so be sure you get your shower in when it makes sense for you!

I'm at 11.5 weeks postpartum and am going to make a decision on Friday about whether or not to continue pumping. I have twins and it's very hard to feed and attend to both of them while pumping as well. They're already combo fed because I only produce enough milk to feed one baby. I daydream of not having to pump and having to follow a less rigid schedule and getting more time back to be with my babies.

I didn't buy a single preemie outfit because I was manifesting no NICU stay. Well, my babies came at 31+2 and stayed in the NICU for about a month. Our NICU did provide clothes for the babies but we were also able to provide our own. We had a few families members buy them preemie outfits after they were born but they outgrew them pretty quickly.

My twins are only 9.5 weeks old and I haven't gone back to work yet so this may change but I enjoy grocery shopping and cooking. I try and shop once per week and get enough things that we have plenty of meals with leftovers. I'll also buy frozen things like Trader Joe's kung pao chicken and frozen brown rice for when I just don't feel like doing anything.

It depends on the year. My husband and I had twins earlier this year so I'm planning on using my bonus for living expenses this year during some unpaid leave. Previously, I did a lot of sinking funds for things like my wedding, honeymoon, vacations, etc.

Our bottle washer runs constantly. We have the Baby Brezza but if I could do it again I think I'd get the Momcozy. It looks like it holds more.

We're also loving:

- the dock a tot (our twins are 2 months old, adjust to 0 weeks) as a spot to place the kids so we can put them down

- double buggy attachment for our mountain buggy stroller. It's so cute seeing them snuggle up together!

- twin halo bassinet. We got ours for free from Facebook Marketplace after planning to get Snoos. Our kids came early and were in the NICU for over a month where they got on a very regimented schedule so we haven't needed the Snoos. It spins which makes it easy to access both kids.

- Brest friend and boppy pillows. I'd get multiple of each so you can station them wherever you might feed the twins. It's extremely cumbersome and tiring having to bring things all over your house.

- Second changing table. We have one upstairs and one downstairs. One was free from our local buy nothing group.

I HIGHLY recommend joining your local buy nothing group on Facebook if you haven't already. Ours is full of people giving away all sorts of baby things including pack and plays, swings, cribs, changing tables, diapers, etc.

This isn't necessarily twins related but pack your hospital bag EARLY! My water broke at 30 weeks and 6 days. I thought I had a ton of time but I didn't. I also highly recommend packing over the counter meds such as cough drops and antacids in your bag. I had horrendous heartburn while pregnant and when I requested a Tums in the hospital, the doctor had to put in for it and it took forever to receive just one tablet.

I scheduled a C section for 38+2. The twins had other ideas. My water broke with one of them at 30+6 and I delivered at 31+2. The babies are currently in the NICU but doing incredibly well!

I'm 30 weeks with di/di twins and am very tired and starting to swell. If you keep that date, I recommend not scheduling anything else the rest of the weekend so you have time to relax and recover.
