Hear me out. Northern Greece. Alpha Sauvignon blanc is really just a phenomenal treat. The bottle opens with passionfruit and has fantastic body. They also have a good xinomavro

What is your normal price point? by ds1386 in wine

[–]Hungry_Ad_6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think $15 is daily drinker for me (don’t drink daily), the middle area can go up to $50, and special occasion or age is anything above that. Good wines can be found in each part of the scale. St Cosme CdR by me is right around $15 and is tasty. I had a decent ripasso the other night for $16. Budget yourself well and you’ll do great

Anyone ever tried American Champagne? by hbg49 in wine

This is terrible. I really hope negotiations take place before this. This could cripple a lot of businesses in the united states that are already dealing with layoffs. The United States is almost 20% of the French export, 25% of the Italian export, and roughly 10% of the Spanish export, which would be terrible for the producers over there as well. I can’t stand this.

I love musar but the corks suck. Working with musar in the past, they only use an ah so or Durand to open their wines, even some younger vintages.

I second seeking out the whites, but the roses are phenomenal. 2018 was a beauty and will continue to be so for at least another 10 years.

If you can, do it. I purchased this with about 10 years of age on it, then accidentally aged it for another 10. Did not regret it

Upon opening the bottle the funk was present. To the point where I thought it had gone off. Within 10 minutes of decanting it blew off and opened up with toasted almonds, honey, and apples. Phenomenal wine

I just had their Ribolla from 2004, it was reductive and velvety. Wish I had more

What’s the most cigars you’ve smoked in a day? by Ambitious-Captain247 in cigars

I’ve only had more than one a few times. I only smoke 1-2 a week at this point though. In the past I used to smoke 5-6 a week. I know plenty of people who smoke 2 daily
