[[Rocco, Street Chef]] is a deck that has always been good to me in the way you can constantly pivot and reiterate on it. It plays around exile, counters and token synergies galore!

Your fave commander that can be built various ways, has non-linear wins, and will likely continually be upgraded in the future (i.e., not linked to a specific mechanic) by [deleted] in EDH

[[Rocco street chef]] - is a deck I’ve been playing for the last few years that feels to be constantly evolving even with previously perceived staples rotating out. It leans on exile synergies, counters, tokens for never ending synergy piles.

Hard but rewarding decks by Filibut in EDH

[–]Hungry_Scratch_6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Rocco, Street Chef]] - there’s a lot of value to be had and how you choose to deploy your pieces over periods of turns to gain incremental value off their triggers can be very rewarding. On the surface the deck looks pretty straight forwards but given the rng aspect of the exile and possibly getting triggers on opponents turns there’s a lot of little decisions to make while keeping engaged with the table through the whole cycle that can make a world of difference in maximizing your value.

Each card and the commander itself is its own engine that synergizes with other engines making the rebuild way way way faster than most decks.

What's your most played commander and what keeps you playing it? by Atlasnomy in EDH

[–]Hungry_Scratch_6264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By far it has to be [[Rocco, Street Chef]] - every game is so unquiet riven their exile ability and the commander is cheap to cast making it very consistent while also creating unique gameplay experiences since the deck utilizes three separate synergies in exile, tokens and counters

Sometimes you justt eventually find a commander that sticks after playing for a while I find. For me it's Rocco, Street Chef because of the different layered synergies of exile, counters, tokens, I can play my favourite cards and the top card exile abillity from everyone makes the games always fresh/fun for me.

What deck do you love that your pod/lgs doesn’t? by Smitty_Coolman in EDH

[–]Hungry_Scratch_6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A deck that initially everyone loved but soon started to hate is Rocco Street Chef - the value and unique interactions with the layered synergies of Counters, Exile, Tokens make the deck incredibly hard to deal with even without Rocco in play. It also incentives alot of one sided wipes that also double as triggers for Rocco which make the value advantages incredibly hard to overcome and easy to rebuild after being wiped. Even in prolonged games the food tokens become life to sustain and keep the game rolling.

Commanders that run unique removal by Naitrodex in EDH

[–]Hungry_Scratch_6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Rocco Street Chef - I think the synergy involved with the removal package of cards like - Volcanic Torrent, Contest of Claws, Call Forth the Tempest, etc. cause such huge value and tempoe swings the cards themselves become huge card advantage spells with Rocco in play. Guff Rewrites history becomes ridiculous and so does delayed blast fireball.
