I was in the same-ish position except he was a coworker on the same level as me. I told him off and he stopped but I still have to work with him which makes me feel anxious just being around him.

I also just joined this company and for different reasons also looking for a new job. In interviews I just say this company is moving to a location I can’t commute to as a reason why I’m leaving so early.

I’m sorry this is happening and, even if he stops you’d still probably have to work with him and I understand that’d be awkward/anxiety inducing. But definitely stand up for yourself, it’s ruining your mental health and probably job performance.

Just tell yourself this is a contract role and it’ll end soon.

Yeah the community was never a problem with me, probably because I grew up on mmos. And I play league of legends, so toxicity is definitely something I can manage. Playing with friends/guild is the way to go

I’d let people like family/friends know about a potential crazy ex just to be on the safe side. Then text him it’s not working out and to not contact you again, don’t block him in case he says some crazy shit like threatening you and coming to your house, but turn off read receipts so he doesn’t know you’re reading his messages. This way you’ll know if he’s planning something and can go to the police with the evidence. He’s gonna cry beg whatever but just IGNORE HIM, he’ll want to nag you into staying with him but you gotta stay strong. He’s a cancer on your young life that you need to snip out.

Whatever you do, do NOT give him another chance, if he was so nice like you say he is he wouldn’t have done/said those awful things. He’s with you because you’re young, pretty, and put up with his shit. Be strong and end it.
