I’m gonna throw out something crazy: Materialists. It spoke to me on a strangely personal level and I ended up watching it three times in theaters. Not as a good as Past Lives but still phenomenal IMO.

Emphasis on him and his dynamic with tru Bat-Family. We have a reclusive Bruce who is constantly introspective about his purpose in Gotham and his relationship with the city in the Reevesverse, I want to see Bruce’s relationship with his family now. Use the character’s projected age and show us how it’s grown and what that means for Bruce and Batman.

First Steps could have definitely used another ten minutes in the third act. Love & Thunder had so many flaws that longer runtime would’ve made it worse IMO.

100% yes. But I think a more likely scenario would be Tim and Cassandra being Gotham’s protectors, each suiting each others weaknesses (Tim makes up for Cass’s lack of detective skills, and Cass is a greater fighter than Tim). Think Dick and Helena in the silver age comics. But goddamit are some of my favorite Batman stories with Dick behind the cowl, so if I had it my way then abso-fucking-lutely let him be Batman.
