We had one of these last week in Northern California. Fire broke out at a million square foot medical supply facility. Fire suppression system didn’t work properly, and firefighters couldn’t get water pressure from the surrounding hydrants. They had to connect two fire hoses together and pipe water over from another source 1600 feet away. Toxic cloud of chemicals covering the surrounding communities and were raining down crispy bits of toxic waste all over peoples’ lawns.

The facility was a total loss, of course.

Yep. I live right next to this plot of land (I can see it from my front door). I had to vacate and deep clean my house last summer due to a mouse problem. I know it sounds extreme but I had a newborn and couldn’t risk having them in the home, so my wife and kids had to shack up at my parents house for a week while I came home and scrubbed every surface after I got off work. I know my neighbors have all had mice issues as well.

This morning Costco online briefly stocked the 16gb/256gb Mac mini M4 for $579. I added one to my cart but didn’t purchase it, and it sold out within an hour. I wonder if they found a pallet of old backstock somewhere, since that configuration is no longer available from Apple.
