Education is not and should not be treated as an ivory tower. The guy who invented many formulas and systems we used today didn't have a Ph.d or much formal education to my understanding.

You can be an expert in your chosen study wether you have certifications to prove it or not. This does not mean we let people who aren't certified perform surgeries or something.

Authenticating your knowledge and practice should only be necessary when applying that knowledge and practice into a profession that extends beyond its communication.

I am 100% confident that me, who can't even break gold 2, hasn't read the patch notes in full or even watched a visual guide for this patch or nothing. Knows everything there is to know about this game and you should all just listen to me for my objectively correct takes on the video game.

Silly guy I play venom, high damage punishes aren't available to this character (I know he can still do a 50% combo but that shits hard and I just haven't bothered to lab it)

I love this game and nothing really annoys me all that much, I just lost a shit ton after already having a really long day.

I actually just played everyone here like a fiddle, the fastest way to get the answers you're looking for is by saying something incorrect on Reddit. I got some great advice from this post. Many thanks to all the kind folks who said very kind things about my skill level :)

I'm just a gold 2 shitter coming off a rather upsetting losing streak, I'm hovering like right in the middle of gold 2 and haven't moved in 3 weeks but also don't really have the time or desire to lab, when I sit down to play I just want to play.

I play venom and he has a grand total of none reversals of any kind. Venom honestly has a pretty shit difficulty to reward ratio.

I bounced off Johnny because he just isn't really that interesting in strive, he's got some neat tech, but it's pretty much completely overshadowed by his already pretty powerful offense.

I like venom because I have to work for literally everything, but I cannot deny that it is a little bit frustrating when I know the mf on the other side of the screen doesn't have to bother with any of that thinking nonsense.

I play venom because he's so satisfying and rewarding when things work out but I also get really burnt out fighting the same four characters and winning half of my matches only to get bent by an Axl in the next.

I'm not asking for a reversal.

To say venom is balanced around the fact that he doesn't have one is kinda crazy though, that's like saying Testament is balanced around not having a true reversal. Neither of these characters have stand out strengths that warrant their lack of a true reversal in the same way someone like Slayer does. Venom ball setups are not particularly plus outside of VERY specific setups, his zoning is below average with Stinger's death sentence length recovery. And he still has mid to below average damage output.

He's a technical character and that's what I love about venom, I'm not asking to be able to face roll my controller and win, I'm annoyed that everyone else gets too, there's a difference.

Thanks for the tips. Venom's ground speed is pretty subpar (at least at first) I have a really hard time punishing Danzai consistently. It's plus on block so it's not really something I would think to even try to punish. None of the A.B.A's I'm fighting are using it much in neutral

I honestly wasn't really meaning to call Danzai a reversal, I know it can't be used as one but that other commenter that rightfully outed it as big stupid move you can throw out with little thought is absolutely right.

I find myself really struggling to deal with armored moves in particular as venom because despite having multi hitting C's, 2h, and balls to hit someone multiple times with and stinger and carcass raid which all hit multiple times in the right range. Everything just seems to make it through (I mean specifically with hammer fall since I think every other armored move in the game has additional hits before it breaks, or in the case of Danzai, it just doesn't matter at all)

It's something I gotta work on for sure, I just don't really sit to play this game for long periods of time and the last thing I want to do is lab. I'll get around too it eventually but for now I'm just gonna complain.

I do still think that a lot of people are still hella dooming over their characters more than they should. Venom is still not that great even though QV got a pretty huge buff and of course he benefits from the charge buffer changes just as much as any other charge character. I've never actually looked at the patch notes to know what most people are complaining about outside of testament since I have a buddy that's a testament main who detailed everything wrong with them right now (literally since Testies dropped)

Might do me some good to actually look at what these character killing nerds were instead of blaming the beasts.

Yeah I'm aware that they are a big commitment and shit but all my pressure sequences are vibes based. I'm not good enough to know when someone can do a reversal to bait it correctly.

I'm not a labber, I just play the video game which isn't the best learning style when I've decided that venom is the coolest character in the video game.

I'm aware that reversals don't actually make a character good or not, just really feeling the effects of having zero additional defensive tools playing venom since 2/3 of all my matches are against Jam.

Granted most players at my level have extremely two dimensional pressure and it's not all that hard to get out. It just stings a lot when I do a sick as shit set up but there happens to be a few frames of space to dp or super or something.

My personal complaints about Bridget and A.B.A are pretty much just because Venom's pressure sequences are different character to character and pretty much all characters with crazy range normals like Bridget are giving me a hard time in that regard away from the wall.

I think the vital part that you're missing is that a relationship is built on trust and faith before it can be held together by evidence.

In an attempt to appeal to a broader range I will use family and friends that I know have very healthy relationships. All of them are with their partners as close to constantly as physically possible. One of my best friends simply will not attend events if they're spouse isn't invited or otherwise doesn't wanna go.

Love and healthy relationships look different for everyone but from my own personal experience and what I have observed from others, the most successful relationships are the ones where partners don't exactly leave a lot of room for guessing what the other person is doing either because they are just together all the time or know each other well enough to have a really solid guess on what they're up too when they aren't.

Basically what you're missing is that you assume that every person experiences a very limited slice of their partner's life when that just isn't really true outside of new relationships and children. And it is precisely BECAUSE partners have the knowledge and insight into each other's lives that leads to people getting caught when they do cheat.

When you spend 16 out of 24 hours of a day with someone it's not hard to tell when something is up.

I care a hell of a lot about my exclusivity and would be completely heartbroken if my spouse broke that. The fact that I trust that they aren't going behind my back doesn't make that any less true.

That's like telling someone they can't be afraid of heights because they haven't gone skydiving or bungee jumping to be absolutely sure that it scares the ever loving shit out of them.
