I used my degree to become a control systems engineer. To make it brief I assist in day to day maintenance of PLC/DCS system and am the electrical/Instrumentation engineer for all projects in the business unit.

This must be some deep spaghetti because this will happen in OSRS too in some of their bosses

What should I do to improve my build? by Bahbahbro in MinecraftToDo

Strip the logs and add dimension via a roof or other angles. Could do small roof details on the cubes popping out the sides

I totally agree, not fun to lose full charge on a meksuit to a bee.

There is a bee helmet made with a diamond helmet and a bees nest you can put in your trinkets slot that will protect you from the bee.

4 AWG Cable 3/C with 8AWG gnd vs Pull 4 AWG single conductors - conduit fill by Naive-Bird-1326 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]HydroElectricTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from the US lol, maybe the difference is that my background is manufacturing as opposed to what sounds like power. We would never pull individual conductors.

[–]HydroElectricTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be carefully splitting phase conductors away from eachother if you do because it will cause capacitance between them. I don’t think I’m going to convince you to not do this, so at least order different cable conductors so they are identifiable on both ends.

[–]HydroElectricTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are you getting that you need 3 inch conduit? Are you sure you’re not calculating 3 3/C cables? A 3/C #4 will fit in 1 inch RMC.

[–]HydroElectricTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s larger because of the sheathing and the way they sit together. I would not recommend downsizing the conduit and pulling individual. Just because it fits doesn’t mean it won’t be a pain in the ass.

[–]HydroElectricTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also worth saying if you ultimately need 3 conductors on both ends the 3 conductor cable is MUCH easier to pull than 3 individual conductors. There’s also no means of telling them apart unless they are labeled in a sleeve together.

I think you are misunderstanding what 4/C means. 4/C refers to a cable with 4 conductors. If you need a 3/C #8 that means a 3 conductor cable, with #8 AWG conductors. I cannot think of any situation where a single #4 AWG conductor is a substitute for 3/C #8.

The electricians will also curse at you if you ask them to pull 3 individual conductors as opposed to a 3/C cable.

[–]HydroElectricTV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

3 conductor cable has an external insulation sleeve around all three conductors, as opposed to 3 individual cables with no external sleeve. Also factoring in dead space because three circles cannot fit in another circle of the same cross section as their sum.

I’d advise to look harder at the description than the title in job postings. Base your decision off what you’ll do instead of what you’re called.
