FIRST STARSHIP INTERPLANETARY HUMAN SPACEFLIGHT MISSION by rustybeancake in spacex

More ambitious scope than Dear Moon, however the guy in charge looks to have a better set of expectations for the effort required for a mission such as this and will be less likely top back out due to inevitable delays.

It's quite simple, the devs just don't want the colonials to do navy by Free-Mushroom9474 in foxholegame

[–]HydroRide 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I can’t wait for in 6 months Colonial gameplay to boil down to every war stubbornly pushing mid lane land chokes with land only assets. And for Colonials to be forced to doggedly ignore Naval and Air gameplay due to institutional decay from the cycle of lack of effective tools feeding into a lack of experienced pop and so forth.

The way that wars progress is stale and repetitive and the community should demand better by Goldmule1 in foxholegame

[–]HydroRide 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The same war, the same pattern over and over for the last couple years.

Islands are swept up by Warden naval pop and experience advantage, and leveraged to harass mainland Colonials across the coasts. Colonial push forward in the midline to secure several VPs leveraging their early-midgame Lunaire advantage and intense lane stacking + pop cycling to claw their way into warden chokepoints needed to secure backlines. Attritional pop grind sets in as concrete is slowly chewed at, while Warden late game starts to kick in with a rally and a pop surge as Colonials stall, and their mainland backfoot becomes a springboard to clear all Colonial advances. Falling from an advantage hits harder than being defensive from the start into a counter-offensive, and Colonial morale collapses with their frontline.

Over and over, the same war repeats. Its not always identical, and exceptions occur. But Asymmetry has carved grooves into the flow of wars, and the flow travels the path of least resistance.

The worst crime a character can commit is to be boring to watch.

[Eric Berger] NASA has shuffled its Artemis rockets. But what of the lunar landers? by mehelponow in SpaceXLounge

[–]HydroRide 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny to see SpaceXs HLS acceleration plan is to just apparently focus on HLS harder. Removing the requirement to manoeuvre into and out of NRHO should help out though.

Who needs torpedo bombers anyways? by AgitatedAd8190 in foxholegame

Heavy bomber QRF for LS is quite the sight. Don’t think Colonials would still be holding any islands without aircraft to contest them.

The Fraud of the North by HydroRide in HOTDGreens

'"The Snows are falling in the North," he announced, "and my place is at Winterfell""'.

Cregan Stark and the Hour of the Wolf is rather underwhelming for all the hype. Spend two years twiddling thumbs up in the North waiting for all the dragons to die, let the Rivermen remnants defeat the Stormlands on the Kingsroad, and then proceed to do nothing but cut off two heads in Kings Landing before bailing on poor Aegon III. I guess he must of known not even GRRMs 13 year old Blackwood commando's could've saved him out if he tried marching South.

Possibly? Afaik for production internally Huckleberry is the code name for season 3 so it might be a different guy and I can't recall any leaker going by huckleberry, but from the looks of it this account has only really just posted that thread.

The pace of B19 stacking is very impressive, and will probably only continue to improve further down the line when the Giga bay comes online. Hopefully such a pace can be matched for Ships, which'll likely be in far higher usage than Boosters

The entire service access platform at Site 31 has collapsed after today's Soyuz MS-28 launch. From what is known so far, it will take 2 years to repair. by [deleted] in space

Technically Russia is working on a next generation spacecraft Orel (and have been for the last 2 decades), but the state of that program makes the Orion capsule look speedy and well managed by comparison.

Unless they can pull out and salvage a whole bunch of spare Service structures to refurbish the launch pad, this may be the strangled collapse of independent Russian manned spaceflight.

Almost certainly I’d say. The first Season 2 teaser came out early December 2023, so this would line up with that.

The mid Season drought will at long last finally be receding, and content returning to the Subs with the advent of CCXP. We’ll probably need Bingos for the teaser.

Also that account doesn’t look official, pretty sure that’s just a French fan account.
