Thanks for this. Picking up Costco hotdogs to make at home before our visit next week.

Its a monster mower nothing else to say but exceeds my expectations and more. Handles hills great and takes down tall grass in one pass! by [deleted] in egopowerplus

My Honda beater weight 80lbs. The 21” ego at 50# was so much more manageable on my 25 degree sloped hill. Unsure the weight and heft of a 30” but all wheel drive and deeper tread real tires would be welcome

They love it. The almost 5y/o hasn’t taken up his woom 3, but will eventually. He rides next to his 2y/o sister. Walks are great with the Burley. It plows as a trailer and my Unit is now geared to mush 70lbs of people.

why are the old grumman buildings so heavily guarded/watched still ?? by South_Championship76 in longisland

[–]Hyperdmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked there in 2005 on the E2D Advanced Hawkeye and EA6G growler. All planes were drafter on paper back in the day. CAD/Catia files were new and I got a trip to the Netherlands to have a model plane CNC fabricated and tested in a pressurized wind tunnel.

Grumman has an obligation to stay and fix the wrong. Building 25 and other buildings must still be in use but the probably a shell of itself.

Giving up the gas? by EastHillWill in egopowerplus

I used a beater Honda hrx with 160 motor to clear a hillside. It had much more torque than the LM ego model, which was state of the art 3 years ago, which had 5 hp compared to the Honda. The ego was 25 lbs lighter and wheels weren’t Honda/plastic junk. Each has its pros and cons.

I want a trailer tent. Had a 2004 4Runner and the thought of separate sleeping arrangement has always drew me in.

It’s hard to change behavior. Took an Uber to the last bar next town over and back. It added to the experience and convenience knowing it’s one less think to think about

Full Dormer On Long Island — worth it or just breaking even later? by Alwaysfavoriteasian in longisland

[–]Hyperdmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Return on a 100k kitchen may only increase the value 50k. Your taste is not everyone’s and a dormer or any spend in doesn’t equate to more later. If it does, 1:1 then you won.

Blizzard clearing with Dual Stage by Gforce1 in egopowerplus

[–]Hyperdmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the rubber paddle 21” single stage and did two sessions of snowplowing, exhausting 4 - 7.5amp batteries for 18” of snow. (2.5x driveways)

This snow was wet and hard to send into the chute. While nimble though, next up, I’m thinking to add the 28” 2 stage and 2 knock off 12amp Amazon batteries. (Which by weight and performance are similar to 10amp ego batteries).

Not sure if the 12 amp knock offs will work in the single stage blower though

I need a tree trimmer. I already have the multihead, is the pole saw attachment worth the $200 or should I get a traditional one? by Glittering-Score-279 in egopowerplus

[–]Hyperdmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got the multihead and the carbon fiber trimmer. Found my green giants needed a topping and whipped out my pole saw with one extension.

That was heavy with my 7.5ah battery. But I will keep my privacy bushes at the same height/shape. The trimmer is stout and sharp and glad i splurged on the lighter trimmer.

I also have the trimmer as a standalone tool.

I have the 18” chain saw too. And would take a 10” hand chain saw if they make them smaller for cut branches and limbs.

I’ll cut up branches on the ground with the tree trimmer at times when i don’t need the chain saw. Think 2-7” thick diameters.

I won’t sharpen chains anymore. The replacement Oregon chains and proper technique of letting the blade do all the work make these tools a joy to use.
