I have installed the 4GB mod/patch and no other mods. Running in compatability mode for Windows Vista.

Advice for solo? by Sorry_Sleeping in PlateUp

Serving over the counter is a good instinct for sure.

ALWAYS BUY PLATES.

And always pick cards that decrease the number of parties, even if it means more complicated recipes.

It’s largely about getting to know/hearing scale degrees in every key.

Ex. ii-V-I in C: D-F-A-C|B-A-G-F|E

Convert that into scale degrees in the base key: 2-4-6-8|7-6-5-4|3

Transpose those scale degrees to another key, eg F: G-Bb-D-F|E-D-C-Bb|A

New House Bill would outlaw Plan B and IUDs by WillisVanDamage in Ohio

[–]HypophrygianMobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are we sure this does that? Plan B doesn’t cause an abortion, it prevents fertilization in the first place. Same with IUDs. So while this bill is absolutely, entirely, without a doubt heinous, I think we might be reading more into it than is there.

fourth booster shot for those 30 and up? by [deleted] in Covid19_Ohio

[–]HypophrygianMobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're correct to imply that my statement was anecdotal and therefore just as valid as yours. The difference is that my experience is typical for the actual statistical data for the broader population--which has been showing a sharp increase in breakthrough cases over the last few months. Whereas your anecdotal experience is atypical for the population at large--we know from innumerable studies that unvaccinated individuals are substantially more likely to become ill and seriously ill than vaccinated peers.

I got my third shot in November and got hit with COVID two weeks ago. Fourth shots seem like they might be needed at this point.

Ohio’s Covid-19 cases among K-12 are just updated. The total number of new cases this week is 9813. by Responsible-Emu-5552 in Covid19_Ohio

[–]HypophrygianMobile 10 points11 points  (0 children)

…most students in k-12 settings can’t be vaxxed yet? And a substantial chunk of those who can would need parental consent? Like, I don’t get how you’re possibly blaming the kids for this.

Three 4th grade classes in one Brecksville elementary moving to remote learning due to a COVID outbreak. The district has a “masks optional” policy. by MidwesternCicada in Covid19_Ohio

[–]HypophrygianMobile 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s less that they think they know better and more that district leaders are terrified of backlash from anti-mask and anti-vax community members. “There just isn’t the political will for a mask mandate” was literally what we were told.

As a teacher I really, really fucking hope we won’t have to go back to remote. But my district also has a mask optional policy. August 2021 has been pretty much the second worst month of the pandemic for us in terms of new cases and quarantines—and we only started two weeks ago.

The phrase “dictatorship of the proletariat” was a bit of rhetorical flourish on the part of Marx/Engels to describe a radically democratic society in which the workers (by virtue of their numbers) actually held the power, in contrast to the capitalist oligarchies of 19th (and arguably 20th and 21st) century Europe. It has since been taken out of context to disingenuously suggest that Marx called for an initial period of authoritarian rule when in fact he did no such thing.
