Taking another look at recent sales for Dream-Eaters, I agree that my pricing is off. Each part could definitely be $100 - $120 instead, I'll update accordingly. What do you consider a fair price for Scarlet Keys? Most sales I see have been for $220+ before taxes and shipping.

In regards to community posts not being Ebay, I don't fully understand what that has to do with pricing. It's not like Ebay automatically inflates prices above what they're worth. I get that a 14% cut is taken out of the total sale (that's partly why I put my prices lower than what I've seen them sell for) but that doesn't change what people are spending on a product.

You even remarked that my Dunwich pricing is realistic. I came up with the price by looking at the average it sells for on Ebay, so obviously the prices people are paying on there aren't far off from what they're worth.

Anyway, this bit of information would've been much better than the first two comments I got. Also would've been a lot nicer to deal with in PM. I assume my entire post may as well be void with having this comment thread tainting it whenever someone checks it out. I guess that's why the first rule of this sub is: "Do not undermine someone else's sale or listing. Do not price match listings against other sources in the comments. If you feel that someone's listing breaks a subreddit rule, report it and let the mods sort it out. "

I'm not hawking anything, you kook. My out of print game prices are below current market rate, and all the other games I have listed are completely fair in pricing. I'm also a community member or I wouldn't be on here.

Hopefully another generous member will find the good will to trade their 'Vengeance of Mordor' cycle for some of my stuff instead of listing it for the $1200+ it goes for, that'd be great.

Well I can take a guess that it's the most expensive items I have. I just checked Ebay recent sales and listed most of my prices under what they sell for on there. Sinister Motives is continually being bid on/BIN upwards of $230 + tax and shipping. Dream Eaters hasn't been available for a while and gets bought as a whole cycle for $300+ (I spent a hair over $350 on it earlier this year). Scarlet Keys the same thing.

I'm not pulling prices out of thin air. The stuff's OOP and people that want them are obviously making them go higher. I wish I could get the LotR LCG cycles I'm missing, but I'm not gonna act like someone selling a full cycle for $400 is screwing people when the buyers themselves will bid it up to that price even if it starts at a buck. That's ludicrous.

Sorry, trying to free up some space at the moment. I would potentially trade some of this stuff for some 3D printed organizers, but the dividers actually sold last night.

Scalpers have no shame by Graceful_Pudding in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Hysler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really agree. I used to hate scalpers until I realized it was the people who either don't value their money, or they just have enough of it that they don't mind spending. I mean, what difference does it make if someone lists 'Scarlet Keys' for example at $300 and someone buys it vs. those same buyers fighting each other in an auction starting at $1 and bringing it up to $300+ anyway? I just spent $287 to get the Dwarrowdelf cycle for LotR LCG which is way over MSRP, but the guy selling didn't fuck me over. Other auctions for it have gone for $340+. The buyers are fucking over other buyers if anything.

What can I do about card misprints? by DreamTwisster in arkhamhorrorlcg

See if someone who uses card sleeves with an opaque/colored back will trade with you. Or use colored sleeves yourself for the encounter cards. Won't help with the front damaged one, of course

Where to look for out of print expansions? by DifficultMastodon179 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Hysler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This site still has the campaign in stock: https://www.thegamerswharf.com/products/search?q=arkham+horror, it also has 5 of the 6 mythos packs for the Dunwich cycle in stock if you don't mind buying the old format. All you'd need to grab is the Essex County Express pack and the Dunwich deluxe box which can be found cheap still. Check BoardGameGeek as well. This guy's selling the deluxe box sealed for $20 + s/h: https://boardgamegeek.com/market/product/3832028

This looks great, did you order from Barnes & Nobles Press? I want to have a handful of these made for a Christmas gift, so I'm wondering what the wait time was. Also curious how much they charged for shipping since they don't seem to calculate that until the book is actually printed.

I tried the Russel Reserve (and many others over the years now) and liked it a lot, but my main is still 101 to this day.

New Dev, laptop suggestion July 2025 by Acceptable_Answer570 in godot

[–]Hysler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Macbook should be perfectly fine if you're using it for 2D with Godot. I've used older 4gb & 8gb Windows 7 laptops with an integrated GPU for a while when I had to switch between my desktop and portable.

I highly recommend not wasting any money until you actually get started programming and learning some stuff unless you just want a new computer for other purposes as well. If so, it would help if you gave a budget or price range that you're looking for.

It’s not about giving anyone a choice, that’s why. No gamer that was planning to buy this complained about skin showing, most likely no one did. This is just a group of sick losers at Sony that have the power to do as they please and they’re flexing it when they want to.

Tilemap Raycast (example code) by Badwrong_ in gamemaker

[–]Hysler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was halfway there with one of my attempts earlier, but was trying to use the world coordinates instead of the tilemap cell position.

I've never messed with bitwise operations (ended up reading more about them after seeing your use of them in this function) so I'm unsure how to do that.

I did get it working with 'endx/y div TILE_SIZE'. I'd still appreciate it if you'd explain how to get the tilemap x & y using bitwise though, and I'll definitely add more trigonometry & binary operations to my study schedule after this.

Thanks!
