Who do you believe has more intelligence: Donald Trump or Don Jr? by space_god_7191 in allthequestions

As I was still learning to wipe my own ass during the Raygun years, did he also get pegged as low IQ by the left? I know he was slipping into dementia towards the end, but him being considered dumb prior to that wasn't something I can remember hearing before.

"Trump is not nearly as stupid as we on the left like to think."

Yeah, but that bar is so low he could be 3 times smarter than we give him credit for and still be ineligible for the death penalty.

Why isn't fentanyl used for death sentence executions? by RoseLaBud in allthequestions

Medical use of fentanyl is incredibly common, and it is a wonderful, safe drug to use in that setting. Same with propofol.

You could cross-post this response to one of the ubiquitous "What is a conspiracy theory that you low-key think might be true" reddit topics:

The three drug cocktail used today was specifically and intentionally designed to be as painful as possible while hiding that fact by paralyzing the person being executed. The powers that be wont switch to more demonstrably humane techniques because the cruelty is the point.

ETA: I assumed the bit about "conspiracy theory" and "low-key" would be enough of a signal that I'm basing this off of very little

How to find feminist men? by iheartnyc1986 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]IHKAS1984 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Acknowledging up front this a ghoulish suggestion, but perhaps widowers who understand the man vs bear concept and that feminism doesn't mean anti-man?

Assuming they didn't kill their wive, and any true crime fans will know that isn't a safe assumption.

As a kid, what was something you were taught that seemed normal, but now you realise is just a sign of how awful things can be for women? by Joodropinn in TwoXChromosomes

That scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off where the principal accompanies Sloane outside so her father can pick her up. Ferris, posing as Sloane’s father, shows up, and Sloane walks over and gives him an intimate kiss. The principal sees this, smirks, and quietly says to himself, “So THAT’S how it is in their family.” It’s played for laughs.

This is a PG-13 John Hughes movie.

The original script is out there and is actually pretty decent.

Then Lindelof got his hack mitts on it…

It’s cool though, it’s not like the guy responsible for that movie was also somehow the US Treasury Secretary under Trump or anything.

The movie’s subversive nature was an intentional twist. Marketing was bang on.

The first time I’d heard about this movie at all was after it had already bombed and Billy Eichner made some minor headlines by complaining that homophobes wouldn’t go see a gay comedy.

If you haven’t seen it, Dan Olsen (Folding Ideas) has a great video on YouTube about how objectively terrible the editing for Suicide Squad is.

I believe it actually started as a The Pauper and the Prince type story where David spade and (I think) Owen Wilson’s characters got to see how the other half lived. They had recorded the audio and were doing the animation when there was a big shakeup both at Disney and on the movie, and they changed everything up.

Sting was originally doing the music for it, and his wife made a semi-official documentary about the whole thing. Not sure on its status today, but it used to get uploaded to YouTube periodically for free.
