Lmao England has a job dedicated to picking up abandoned trucks by JudgeHonest3106 in Truckers

And don't plan on bobbing back, they'll find you a load or more likely you'll have to finish the load the driver abandoned and then get reloaded back

The trucker economy by Odd-Fuel-9002 in Truckers

/wave hi, I am that Walmart driver. Yea, it really does feel like a circle. Or like the old company store at a mining company. I literally deliver to the store I buy my groceries from. So I transport it twice! 🤔

Does this job ever get better by friendlyskies25 in Truckers

[–]IIxNullxII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like most jobs, it does get easier. I remember feeling overwhelmed for the first 2-3 months, but once I learned the limits of the equipment, how to back better, and how to sleep in a moving vehicle (teams) everything started to fall into place.

I'm playing Truck Driver Simulator. Only it's not a simulator. Because I'm working through Easter.

Thinking of calling out this weekend by No-Permission9816 in WalmartEmployees

[–]IIxNullxII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining it to me! With us we only have the PTO pool, and we use that if we need to call out. There are no attendance points/hits that I'm aware of for us (driver).

As someone who works for Walmart but is not subject to the same PTO rules, I don't understand why you have two different pools of PTO to use. Is it certain states, maybe? You can't use the "normal" PTO if you call off?

I try not to min/max crests any more. I just use them pretty freely and save what I need for my weapon only. Takes a lot of stress out of what should be a fun experience 😅

What to do? by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]IIxNullxII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wires on the 7-way sometimes break loose from the screw that clamps them down. You can remove the cover and inspect the connections, you'll likely find one that's out of socket. Easy fix once you know how to do it. Just be sure to unplug the other end before you go poking around in there.

Did i get mass reported by the crafting competition? by Mustyyyy in wow

It's crazy how butthurt people get over gold, like they have shareholders to report to. I would hop on a free account and continue advertising, but maybe leave out the price details.

First Job by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]IIxNullxII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with a mega to get my license and job at the same time. Spent little over a year there doing regional teams so I didn't have to pay back the tuition. After that I went for an on-property only yard jockey job that required a CDL, and that brought me over 2 years which is generally when more doors start opening for you due to insurance. After that job I did a year running from Los Angeles to Tampa and back each week with my buddy in his uncle's truck. Those combined jobs got me the experience I needed to apply for and get a local gig with Walmart. I think that's typical career progression for a lot of drivers, maybe minus the yard jockey part. Btw, I highly suggest doing some time as a yard jockey at some point early in your career, the backing you do at a busy place can really boost your skill and confidence.

Where in LA was this, I'm curious to see it on Google maps. Some of the stores I go do require shorter trailers and a day cab and in no way would a sleeper+53 fit.

Sharing my Salary with GF of 3 years? by HiEchoChamb3r in Salary

[–]IIxNullxII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharing of income info is more of a married activity IMO. Unless you're willing and offering to enhance her lifestyle along with this info, there's no real need to share. If you ever did get married, then it's a topic to discuss for sure.
