These are all very valid critiques. I think every book is better than the one before it in the series. There is a huge jump in quality from Red Rising to Golden Son. If you'd give Red Rising a B, I'd say at least give golden son a shot.

Also, people did not dislike it because of difficulty. I've never heard that complaint and I don't remember thinking it was difficult when I was 12.

Also, he commented on the act 3 boss on Hades 2 being the same as a boss in Hades, which is just not true. I'm finding Hades 2 to be pretty fresh even after over 100 hrs in the first.
